Karma Backhands Hillary Clinton In The Face
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is once again facing a public reckoning—this time over a fact-checked and widely criticized social media post accusing President Donald Trump of improper conduct during his recent diplomatic visit to Qatar.
Clinton, the former Democratic presidential nominee, took to X (formerly Twitter) to suggest that President Trump had been compromised after the Gulf nation of Qatar gifted the U.S. military a state-of-the-art Boeing 747-8 aircraft, valued at $400 million. The aircraft, designated for upgrade by the Department of Defense, may serve as a temporary replacement for the aging Air Force One fleet.
While some left-wing figures attempted to spin the story, claiming the plane had been gifted directly to Trump, those claims were quickly debunked. The aircraft was not given to the President personally, but rather to the U.S. government as part of a formal, transparent arrangement.
President Trump addressed the issue directly on Truth Social on Sunday, posting:
“So the fact that the Defense Department is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a 747 aircraft to replace the 40 year old Air Force One, temporarily, in a very public and transparent transaction, so bothers the Crooked Democrats that they insist we pay, TOP DOLLAR, for the plane. Anybody can do that! The Dems are World Class Losers!!!”
Despite the President’s clarification, Democrats continued to fan the flames. Clinton joined the political theatrics by posting:
“No one gives someone a $400 million dollar jet for free without expecting anything in return. Be serious.”
But Clinton’s remarks quickly backfired. Critics were quick to point out her own entanglements with Qatar during her tenure as Secretary of State. Notably, the Clinton Foundation accepted a $1 million donation from Qatar in 2011—while Clinton was serving in the Obama administration. This contribution came despite her earlier pledge to allow State Department vetting of any new, significant foreign donations.
As Reuters previously reported, the funds were pledged in honor of former President Bill Clinton’s 65th birthday. Internal emails released by WikiLeaks ahead of the 2016 election show that Qatari officials sought an in-person meeting with Bill Clinton in 2012 to deliver the check, according to an email from a foundation staffer to Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.
Clinton’s attempt to paint President Trump as engaged in suspicious foreign dealings only served to highlight her own history of questionable foreign donations—raising familiar concerns about double standards and media bias.
Meanwhile, President Trump’s trip to the Middle East—his first international tour since securing re-election in November—has already delivered massive wins for the U.S. economy. In a string of strategic stops in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Trump successfully negotiated record-setting investment pledges that stand to revitalize American manufacturing and defense sectors.
Saudi Arabia announced a $600 billion increase in its U.S. investments, while Qatar went even further, pledging a stunning $1.2 trillion during President Trump’s Wednesday visit.
Among the highlights of the agreement, Qatar Airways committed to a $96 billion acquisition of 210 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777X aircraft—fitted with U.S.-built GE Aerospace engines. Additionally, a separate memorandum of understanding outlines another $38 billion in potential purchases of American defense systems, aimed at modernizing Qatar’s Al Udeid Air Base and enhancing maritime defense initiatives.
According to a White House statement,
“This historic agreement will support 154,000 U.S. jobs annually, totaling over 1 million jobs in the United States during the course of production and delivery of this deal.”
While Clinton and her political allies continue to undermine American success abroad, President Trump remains focused on restoring U.S. manufacturing, rebuilding global partnerships based on strength and reciprocity, and delivering for the American worker.
