Odd New Disclaimer Issued About Kate Middleton

Last month, in a startling revelation through a video message, Kate Middleton announced her ongoing battle with cancer, drawing global attention.

This announcement has led to increased scrutiny, particularly after a new disclaimer was added to the video by palace officials.

Kensington Palace has acknowledged the disclaimer put forth by Getty Images on their website regarding the video. The disclaimer states, “EDITOR’S NOTE: This Handout clip was provided by a third-party organization and may not adhere to Getty Images’ editorial policy,” the caption reads, followed by standard information about the clip.

When Fox News asked Getty for a statement, the media outlet responded that it is customary to include an editor’s note with “handout content provided by third-party organizations.”

This situation follows a peculiar incident where palace officials admitted to the alteration of a photograph featuring Middleton, Prince William, and their children.

This admission has led to increased scrutiny over the authenticity of royal family images, prompting several media outlets, including Reuters, Getty, and the Associated Press, to retract the altered photo due to suspicions of tampering.

Middleton addressed the controversy, stating, "Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to apologize for any misunderstanding that may have arisen from the family photo we shared yesterday."

Her apology came after the doctored photo caused widespread concern, especially since Middleton has made few public appearances since December and had previously received treatment for an abdominal condition earlier in the year, raising questions about her health and whereabouts.
