Watch as the Ever-Gracious Melania Subtly Reveals the Obamas’ Petty Nature

Hello to all the dedicated liberal readers scanning this piece! As you sip your cosmopolitans, likely lamenting the beginning of Donald Trump’s second term, you might be telling yourselves that former President Joe Biden at least ensured a “dignified transition of democratic power”—or whatever phrase you’ve picked up from MSNBC’s coverage of the event.
Let’s clarify a couple of points here. First, Joe Biden hasn’t been making independent decisions for quite some time—aside from choosing which ice-cream flavor to enjoy while missing teleprompter cues. Second, as First Lady Melania Trump reminded us in a recent interview, let’s not forget how the Obamas—heralded as the ideal progressive couple—handled the transition of power back in 2017.
In a conversation with Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt, Melania reflected on what she called the “challenging transition” when the Trumps first arrived at the White House.
“The difference is I know where I will be going, I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process,” she stated during the interview, which aired on Jan. 13, when asked how things differed this time around compared to 2017.
“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information,” she continued.
“The information was [withheld] for us from [the] previous administration,” she revealed.
Now, however, she stated she’s “already packed” and prepared for the move.
“It’s [a] very different transition second time around,” she noted.
When asked if the Bidens had been helpful during the process, she responded matter-of-factly:
“They’re still living there, and they will be out on Jan. 20,” adding that “the transition team has only five hours to move Bidens out and to move us in.”
For those interested, the relevant segment of the interview starts at approximately the 2:00 mark:
This interview surfaced as former First Lady Michelle Obama reportedly decided against attending Trump’s second inauguration.
Interestingly, Michelle Obama also missed Jimmy Carter’s state funeral on Jan. 9 due to what was described as a “scheduling conflict” with her vacation—because, evidently, life as a former first lady isn’t already a vacation. Now, according to a source who spoke to People magazine, she has chosen to skip Trump’s inauguration because she simply cannot stand him.
“There’s no overstating her feelings about [Trump]. She’s not one to plaster on a pleasant face and pretend for protocol’s sake,” the source claimed.
“Michelle doesn’t do anything because it’s expected or it’s protocol or it’s tradition.
“She would be expected to swallow her feelings in the spotlight if she attended his second inauguration.”
The magazine further reported that, according to the source, “Trump’s history of attacking the Obama family” influenced her decision. Because, of course, the Obamas have always treated Trump with grace and kindness.
As for the claim that Trump remains “someone whom she still considers a threat to American democracy,” much of this rhetoric originated with Barack Obama himself. From initially dismissing Trump as an irrelevant businessman to later portraying him as the ultimate villain, the former president set the tone, with the rest of the Democratic Party and mainstream media eagerly following suit.
But rather than dwell on the double standards, let’s focus on the bigger picture. Behind their carefully crafted public personas—the effortless cool, the curated book selections and playlists, the fawning media coverage—the Obamas reveal themselves to be, at their core, petty and self-important. If the Bidens seem slightly less so, it’s only because the decision-making half of that couple was already in cognitive decline when he took office in 2020.
For a true example of class and composure, look no further than Melania Trump. She delivers the hard truths about how Democrats handled her husband’s two inaugurations—not through anonymous leaks to a gossip magazine, but with a poised demeanor and a steady smile. That’s what real confidence and courage look like.
So go ahead, keep shedding those tears into your cocktails, liberals. By the end of January, your drinks will be mostly saline, and from there, things will only get better—for America, at least.
