Remember the lectures during President Donald Trump’s first term? We were told, in no uncertain terms, that judges must be obeyed — even when those judges overstepped their jurisdiction or issued nationwide injunctions from obscure district benches. Judicial supremacy was gospel, and any pushback from the executive branch was painted as a constitutional crisis.

Now, in Trump’s second term, the script has flipped — and the silence from the usual left-wing scolds is deafening.

On Monday, the Supreme Court delivered a critical 6-3 ruling affirming that the Trump administration can deport illegal immigrants to third countries without being forced to offer them a “meaningful opportunity” to claim theoretical harm — a loophole long exploited by activist lawyers and open-borders radicals.

The case involved a group of illegal immigrants — labeled “the worst of the worst” by the Trump administration — hailing from countries like Myanmar, Cuba, Laos, and South Sudan. Because their countries of origin wouldn’t take them back, they were scheduled for deportation to other nations willing to accept them. Predictably, left-wing activists filed suit, claiming such deportations were “dangerous,” particularly to South Sudan.

The high court didn’t need a lengthy lecture to explain the law. The unsigned order simply stayed a lower-court ruling, pending the outcome of the appeal in the First Circuit. But Justice Sonia Sotomayor, speaking for the Court’s liberal minority, issued a dissent full of emotional pleas — lamenting that the Trump administration was seeking “emergency relief” after supposedly “defying” prior court orders.

Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security hailed the decision as a major win for national security.

“DHS can now execute its lawful authority and remove illegal aliens to a country willing to accept them,” said DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin. “Fire up the deportation planes.”

Not so fast, said Judge Brian E. Murphy — a Biden appointee who seems to believe he outranks the Supreme Court.

Despite the clear ruling from the nation’s highest judicial body, Murphy has decided to jam the gears of justice yet again, declaring that the matter wasn’t “properly” resolved and that deportations must be delayed even further.

This is what judicial lawfare looks like in the Biden era: a federal bench packed with partisan activists who disregard Supreme Court precedent to play political defense for criminals and illegal border crossers. Six months into his role, Judge Murphy is already making headlines for obstructing the enforcement of immigration laws — not by accident, but by design.

This isn't about constitutional caution. It's about protecting a Democrat agenda that has no support in Congress, no mandate from voters, and no respect for the rule of law.

The Left can’t win in the legislature. They’ve lost the White House — again. But what they do have is a rogue judicial class and a compliant media ecosystem that refuses to report on these abuses. They’ll tie up deportations for as long as they can, using the courts as both sword and shield.

Make no mistake: these are not sympathetic asylum seekers. These are individuals accused of serious crimes — including drug trafficking and violent offenses — whose continued presence in the U.S. poses a threat to public safety. But instead of getting them out of the country, we're now subjected to a parade of activist rulings from judges who think they’re legislators in robes.

And Judge Murphy won’t be the last.

This is the Democrats’ backup plan: obstruct the executive branch, slow-walk Trump’s lawful authority, and dare Americans to do something about it. Whether it’s criminals protected by sanctuary cities or radical judges ignoring Supreme Court precedent, the message is clear: the Left will grind the system to a halt rather than let a conservative administration enforce the law.

The American people should take note. This is what Democrat “governance” looks like — not law and order, not fidelity to the Constitution, but raw obstructionism in defense of the indefensible.
