Arrested Liberal Judge Gets Horrid News from FBI’s Kash Patel
Reports indicate that a judge in Wisconsin is considering halting all court activity in response to the recent federal detention of fellow state judge Hannah Dugan.
Judge Monica Isham sent out an email to other judges statewide on Saturday titled “Guidance Requested or I Refuse to Hold Court,” in which she firmly opposed cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“If there is no guidance for us and no support for us, I will refuse to hold court in Branch 2 in Sawyer County. I will not put myself or my staff who may feel compelled to help me or my community in harm’s way,” Isham stated in the email, a copy of which was shared by Wisconsin Right Now.

She continued, “I have no intention of allowing anyone to be taken out of my courtroom by ICE and sent to a concentration camp, especially without due process, as BOTH of the constitutions we swore to support require. Should I start raising bail money?” Her comments referenced both the U.S. Constitution and the Wisconsin state constitution.
Officials from the Trump administration, however, argue that individuals subject to deportation have already received their “due process” through immigration court proceedings. Border advisor Tom Homan emphasized that deportation orders had been issued for those individuals.
“If this costs me my job or gets me arrested then at least I know I did the right thing,” Isham added in her message.
Harmeet Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, responded to Isham’s stance on social media, describing her declaration as “problematic,” according to Fox News.
Judge Dugan was arrested Friday after being accused of obstructing an official action and allegedly shielding a migrant from ICE custody. According to Fox, she also faces accusations of hiding a person to prevent apprehension.
Federal agents — including personnel from ICE, the FBI, CBP, and DEA — attempted to detain Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a Mexican national reportedly residing in the country unlawfully, after he appeared before Dugan on April 18 to face three misdemeanor battery charges stemming from two assault allegations.
The complaint claims Dugan diverted law enforcement to the chief judge’s office and later escorted Flores-Ruiz and his attorney through a secured jury exit, bypassing the agents who were stationed in the main courthouse area.
Before serving on the bench, Dugan led Catholic Charities and worked with legal aid groups. She was elected to the Milwaukee Circuit Court’s Branch 31 in 2016 and was unopposed in her 2022 reelection bid. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, she primarily handles misdemeanor cases.
Commenting on the legal consequences for the judges involved, Homan said during a weekend interview that the arrests were foreseeable.
“No one should be surprised by the arrest of two judges. I have said many times within the past few months, that people can choose to support illegal immigration and not assist ICE in removing criminal illegal aliens from our communities, BUT DON’T CROSS THAT LINE,” he wrote on X.
