Biden Offers Strange Response To Tell-All Book About Declining Mental Fitness

Former President Joe Biden has broken his silence following serious allegations raised in the new book Original Sin by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’ Alex Thompson, which claim that Biden was physically and mentally diminished while serving in the White House.

Biden made the comments during a rare encounter with the press on Friday in Delaware, his home state, as questions mount over his fitness to serve and recent revelations about his advanced prostate cancer diagnosis.

“There’s…been a lot of discussion recently about your mental and physical capabilities while you were in office,” a reporter said during the exchange.

Biden responded with sarcasm and a hint of frustration:

“You can see that I’m mentally incompetent and I can’t walk, and I can beat the hell out of both of them.”

The remark quickly gained attention online, with critics questioning whether it helped or hurt his case.

Pressed further on whether he regrets seeking reelection amid concerns from within his own party, Biden dismissed the dissent.

“Why didn’t they run against me then? Because I’d have beaten them,” he said defiantly.

When asked if he had any regrets about his presidency or decisions made while in office, Biden doubled down.

“No, I don’t have any regrets. Look, there’s a lot going on, and I think we’re in a really difficult moment—not only in American history but in world history. I think we’re in one of those inflection points in history where the decisions we make in the next little bit are going to determine what things look like for the next 20 years.”

He went on to defend his record in office, even referencing a dubious claim about how presidential historians rate him.

“I’d put my record as president against any president at all. You notice that 12 of the 10 leading presidential historians rated me pretty good up on that list—and the guy I ran against, I rated him last. So, we’ll see.”

Biden’s remarks come on the heels of his public acknowledgment of a serious cancer diagnosis, marking the first time he’s spoken to reporters since announcing that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

“Well, the prognosis is good. And, you know, we’re working on everything. It’s moving along, so I feel good,” Biden said when asked about his outlook.

When pressed on whether he has started treatment, Biden confirmed,

“Yeah, we have, and we’re underway. And everybody’s—all the folks—are very optimistic.”
“Oh, yeah,” he added when asked again to confirm treatment had begun.

The announcement of his cancer diagnosis shocked the nation. A spokesperson revealed that Biden has a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5)—one of the highest and most dangerous ratings for prostate cancer—with metastasis to the bone, indicating an advanced and aggressive stage.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer… While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement read.

But even that update raised new concerns, especially among medical experts who questioned the timeline of Biden’s diagnosis. Dr. Howie Forman, a Yale professor in radiology and public health, posted a troubling observation on social media:

“It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency. Gleason grade 9 would have had an elevated PSA level for some time before this diagnosis. And he must have had a PSA test numerous times before. This is odd. I wish him well and hope he has an opportunity for maximizing his quality of life.”

The revelations come amid a growing chorus of voices—including Democrats—who are now openly questioning Biden’s capacity to have run for or held the presidency, especially as new reports highlight alleged lapses in cognitive ability and physical frailty during his time in office.

Meanwhile, with President Donald Trump now back in office and advancing a robust agenda focused on law and order, energy independence, and constitutional governance, the contrast between leadership styles has rarely been more stark—or more consequential.
