Biden Reappears, Stumbles Through Another Public Speaking Engagement

Former President Joe Biden resurfaced Friday for a rare public appearance — and immediately reminded the nation why his handlers keep him offstage. Speaking before the International LGBTQ+ Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C., Biden delivered yet another stream of verbal stumbles, culminating in his latest gaffe: declaring that “we’re the United States of Amerigotit.”

“We just have to get up. As long as we keep the faith … and remember who the hell we are. We’re the United States of Amerigotit, that’s who we are! We’re the U.S.!” Biden said, slurring through what was supposed to be a rallying call. The former president then urged activists to “fight back” against the Trump administration — a remark that stunned many observers, given that President Donald J. Trump is now well into his second term.

Biden warned the audience that Trump is “violating the Constitution” and insisted that Americans must resist.

All of us are dismayed by the present state of the union.” he said. “This is no time to give up. It’s time to get up. Get up and fight back. Get up. Continue to fight. And what’s the fight all about? … it’s about protecting the Constitution. It’s about protecting the Constitution.

During the speech, Biden also claimed President Trump and his supporters are working to “distort and derail our fight for equality” and “further divide the country,” according to Fox News. He insisted the issues at hand are simple.

They’re trying to turn it into something scary, something sinister. But folks, it’s really not about anything that’s all that complicated. At its core, it’s about making every American given the opportunity to be treated with basic decency, dignity, and respect they all deserve. That’s what every single American deserves, every American.

Biden’s shaky appearance follows another round of scrutiny last week, after members of the Trump administration openly criticized his failure to move forward on the unsolved Jan. 6 pipe bombing investigation — a case that languished for years under Biden’s leadership.

On Thursday, FBI Director Kash Patel blasted the bureau’s lack of progress under the previous administration, calling it “sheer incompetence or complete intentional negligence.” His comments came just hours after federal authorities arrested 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr. of Woodbridge, Virginia, accused of planting pipe bombs outside both the DNC and RNC on Jan. 5, 2021 — the night before the Capitol riot. Cole is expected to make his first federal court appearance in Washington on Friday, according to the New York Post.

The prior administration sat on the evidence for four years,” Patel said on “Fox News at Night.” “There wasn’t any production of new evidence from five years ago.

Patel explained that he and Deputy Director Dan Bongino ordered a full reexamination of every piece of evidence in the case.

Here’s what we did — we went out to the country, brought in our experts, and Deputy Director [Dan] Bongino led the charge and said, ‘We are going to look at every single piece of evidence again,’” Patel said.

According to a probable cause affidavit, investigators pieced together the case against Cole using bank records and cellphone data, tracing activity related to the bomb materials as far back as 2019.

Patel described the scale of the renewed investigation:

We looked at three million lines of evidence.” He continued: “We went back and looked at the cell phone tower data dumps. We went back and looked at the providers and what information they provided pursuant to search warrants at the time and asked questions, such as ‘Why weren’t all the phone numbers scrubbed?’ and ‘Why weren’t they connected?’ and ‘Why wasn’t there any geolocational data done?’

Patel concluded that the earlier failures were unacceptable.

Now that is either sheer incompetence or complete intentional negligence, neither of which is acceptable for this FBI. So, we changed that in the prior eight months, not on just this case, but everyone. And what that did was allow us to narrow the search down,” he said.
