Bondi Declares End to ‘Weaponized Justice’ After Comey Indictment: ‘No More Two-Tier System’
Attorney General Pam Bondi said Friday that the “weaponization” of the American justice system has officially come to an end under President Donald Trump’s administration, following the stunning indictment of former FBI Director James Comey.
Appearing on Fox News’ Hannity, Bondi made it clear that the new Justice Department will hold everyone accountable — regardless of their title or political power.
“You shouldn’t be nervous any longer because Donald Trump is in office, and the weaponization has ended. We’ve made that very clear,” Bondi told host Sean Hannity, who expressed concern about the country’s recent legal turmoil.
The Justice Department announced Thursday that Comey faces one count of making a false statement within the jurisdiction of the legislative branch and one count of obstruction of a congressional investigation — serious charges stemming from his testimony before Congress.
“Whether you’re a former FBI director, whether you’re a former head of an intel community, whether you are a current state or local elected official, whether you’re a billionaire funding organizations to try to keep Donald Trump out of office — everything is on the table,” Bondi continued.
“We will investigate you, and we will end the weaponization,” she said. “No longer will there be a two-tier system of justice. We are working hand-in-hand — [FBI] Director [Kash] Patel and I [with] Todd Blanche, with our incredible intel community [Director of National Intelligence] Tulsi Gabbard [and] [CIA Director] John Radcliffe, going non-stop around the clock. People will be held accountable.”
Since President Trump’s first term, Democrats and federal officials have pursued a long list of politically charged investigations against him — from the discredited Russia collusion probe to the FBI’s raid on his Mar-a-Lago home in 2022. Trump has consistently maintained that these efforts represented a systematic abuse of power by the left.
The indictment of Comey follows reports that the Justice Department planned to present evidence to a grand jury regarding his allegedly false congressional testimony in September 2020. Prosecutors say Comey lied to lawmakers, claiming he “did not authorize someone at the FBI to be an anonymous source.”
“THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.”

Tonight, Hannity spent his entire monologue running through the entire Grand Conspiracy. From the Steel Dossier to the raid at Mar-a-Lago, Hannity set the narrative for Pam Bondi to come on and promise that accountability is coming.

In that 2020 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Comey also denied awareness of problems with the now-debunked Steele dossier and repeatedly claimed he could not recall key details about its political origins.
Meanwhile, current FBI Director Kash Patel reportedly discovered “burn bags” filled with documents connected to the bureau’s discredited Russia investigation — including what officials described as a classified annex to Special Counsel John Durham’s final report.
According to CBS News, those “burn bags” — containers typically used for destroying classified material — were found at FBI headquarters. The files are believed to be tied to Crossfire Hurricane, the FBI’s controversial 2016 probe into the Trump campaign’s supposed links to Russia.
Patel later confirmed the discovery, writing on X:
“We just uncovered burn bags/room filled with hidden Russia Gate files.”
That investigation, launched under the Obama administration, continued into Trump’s first term and ultimately fueled years of partisan division. Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller concluded Russia had attempted to influence the 2016 election but failed to establish any criminal coordination with Trump or his campaign.
A separate 2017 intelligence report reached similar conclusions — findings that President Trump and his allies have long dismissed as politically motivated.
Now, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has declassified new documents that she says expose the truth. Gabbard accused Obama-era officials of a “treasonous conspiracy” and a “years-long coup” against President Trump. She vowed to refer those responsible to the Justice Department for possible prosecution.
As Bondi made clear, the era of politically shielded elites is over. The Justice Department — now under new leadership — appears determined to ensure that justice applies equally to all Americans.
