Bondi Dismisses DOJ Staffer After Disturbing Video Surfaces

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Friday that the Department of Justice has fired paralegal Elizabeth Baxter after she repeatedly harassed and cursed at National Guard service members deployed in Washington, D.C.

Baxter, who worked in the DOJ’s environmental division, was terminated after security footage captured her flipping off a Guardsman outside Metro Center and shouting “F–k you!” According to The New York Post, Baxter bragged to DOJ security personnel on multiple occasions about insulting the Guard, at one point telling them: “F–k the National Guard.”

“Today, I took action to terminate a DOJ employee for inappropriate conduct towards National Guard service members in DC,” Bondi told The Post.

“This DOJ remains committed to defending President Trump’s agenda and fighting to make America safe again. If you oppose our mission and disrespect law enforcement — you will NO LONGER work at DOJ,” she added.

Baxter’s dismissal comes on the heels of another embarrassing DOJ scandal. Earlier this month, paralegal Sean Charles Dunn was arrested after throwing a Subway sandwich at federal officers and screaming “F—k you! You f—king fascists! Why are you here? I don’t want you in my city!” Dunn, who worked in the international affairs section of DOJ’s criminal division, was terminated after the incident.

While a D.C. grand jury declined to indict Dunn on felony assault, prosecutors charged him with misdemeanor assault, which carries up to one year in jail. Bondi blasted his behavior as an example of entrenched bureaucrats resisting reform.

“This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ,” Bondi tweeted. “You will NOT work in this administration while disrespecting our government and law enforcement.”

Both firings highlight the administration’s zero-tolerance policy for government employees who openly defy President Trump’s agenda or attack law enforcement officers carrying out their duties.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration is continuing its broader effort to streamline government and rein in taxpayer waste. On Friday, the U.S. Agency for Global Media — parent company of Voice of America — announced over 500 layoffs, marking one of the largest federal media cuts in decades.

Kari Lake, acting CEO of USAGM, confirmed the cuts on social media.

“We are conducting this (reduction in force) at the President’s direction to help reduce the federal bureaucracy, improve agency service and save the American people more of their hard-earned money,” Lake wrote.

She added that USAGM “will continue to fulfill its statutory mission after this RIF — and will likely improve its ability to function and provide the truth to people across the world who live under murderous communist governments and other tyrannical regimes.”

A total of 532 full-time positions at VOA were eliminated, despite loud objections from Democrats who defended the taxpayer-subsidized outlet.

With these moves, President Trump’s DOJ and administration are making clear that there will be no tolerance for insubordination from bureaucrats and no sacred cows within the federal bureaucracy.
