Boyfriend of Kirk Murder Suspect Disappears as Neighbors Sound Alarm

The boyfriend of Charlie Kirk’s accused killer has vanished from the Utah condo once shared with the alleged gunman, and neighbors are raising chilling concerns.

Lance Twiggs, 22, was questioned by authorities after investigators searched the three-bedroom property in St. George that he shared with Tyler Robinson, also 22, who now faces charges for the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.

Neighbors say Twiggs has not returned since police activity at the home. His vehicle, filled with plumbing equipment from his part-time job, remains parked outside. Piles of mail and packages clutter the doorstep, and upstairs lights have reportedly been left on for more than a week.

The condominium is owned by Twiggs’s family, prominent members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Daily Mail reported the family maintains deep local roots.

One neighbor, fearful of retribution against Twiggs, issued a stark warning: “If he ever comes back, it will be in a body bag. That’s not a threat – I’m just saying that there are so many people who want a piece of him he’d be mad to show his face in public again. This was a generational event.”

Witness or Accomplice?

Twiggs has not been charged in the Sept. 10 shooting at Utah Valley University, where Robinson allegedly murdered Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. While speculation persists over what Twiggs knew, officials have not produced evidence tying him directly to the plot.

Authorities describe Twiggs, who was transitioning from male to female, as a “cooperating human source.” An FBI contact even suggested Twiggs could qualify for the federal witness protection program, though it remains unclear if he has accepted such protection.

Twiggs’s parents—Tyler, 49, an insurance broker, and Amy, 50, a former gymnast—live only five miles away but have declined public comment. The family, with three other children, has longstanding ties to the community through Jerry Twiggs, 72, a respected pediatrician and property owner.

The Arrest Scene

Eyewitnesses say Twiggs was not restrained when escorted from the apartment after Robinson’s Sept. 12 arrest. Officers reportedly seated Twiggs on the ground while K-9 units swept the residence for explosives before FBI agents launched a full search of the Fossil Hills complex.

“He was wearing a white t-shirt and sweatpants. They just sat him on the step and said the FBI are going to be here soon to ask you some questions,” one source told the Daily Mail. “He didn’t say anything, no emotion at all really. Tyler and Lance were super reclusive. They just looked like two guys to me.”

Disturbing Messages

Prosecutors revealed text messages exchanged between Robinson and Twiggs that suggest conflicting levels of awareness.

“You weren’t the one who did it right????” Twiggs asked after the attack. Robinson allegedly replied: “I am, I’m sorry,” before demanding the conversation be deleted.

In another exchange, Robinson appeared to hint at his intentions earlier, asking Twiggs: “Remember how I was engraving bullets?” Investigators later recovered shell casings inscribed with anti-fascist slogans. The rifle used in the killing reportedly belonged to Robinson’s grandfather.

Neighbors say Robinson and Twiggs lived together for three years, sharing the upscale residence with a third roommate who later moved out. The pair’s relationship became openly romantic, with the two often seen together in the gated community that boasts a pool, spa, and gym.

Robinson faces the death penalty if convicted of the aggravated murder of Charlie Kirk, a husband, father of two, and staunch ally of President Donald Trump. Kirk was fatally shot during a campus debate on the opening night of a planned national speaking tour.
