Breaking: ABC Reporter Let Go Over Attack on Trump, Stephen Miller, as Woke Media Realize They're Losing Culture War
Apparently, torching your employer’s standards of professionalism and objectivity just before your contract ends is not the career move some in corporate media think it is.
That’s the hard lesson now-former ABC News reporter Terry Moran is learning after he launched a venomous tirade against President Donald J. Trump and top White House advisor Stephen Miller — and promptly found himself out of a job.
In a now-deleted post on X, Moran leveled a bitter, bizarre personal attack on Miller, painting him not as a policy architect, but as a man who “eats his hate.” His words were so extreme, even the liberal establishment media couldn’t defend him.

“The thing about Stephen Miller is not that he is the brains behind Trumpism,” Moran wrote. “Yes, he is one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy.
But that’s not what’s interesting about Miller.
It’s not brains. It’s bile.
Miller is a man who is richly endowed with the capacity for hatred. He’s a world-class hater.
You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate.
Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred [is] only a means to an end, and that end [is] his own glorification. That’s his spiritual nourishment.”
Vice President J.D. Vance reposted the screed, ensuring it wouldn’t be buried or forgotten.
ABC News responded quickly — and for once, responsibly — suspending Moran. But according to CNN’s Brian Stelter, that suspension quietly became permanent. In a statement, ABC said Moran’s outburst constituted a “clear violation” of its standards:
“We are at the end of our agreement with Terry Moran and based on his recent post – which was a clear violation of ABC News policies – we have made the decision to not renew,” a spokesperson told Stelter.
“At ABC News, we hold all of our reporters to the highest standards of objectivity, fairness and professionalism, and we remain committed to delivering straightforward, trusted journalism.”
It’s a stunning admission from a network that has long struggled with objectivity—especially when it comes to President Trump.

ABC News, the same outlet that rigged the debate against Trump before the 2024 election, accused Moran of not being "fair."

During Trump’s first term, leftist media figures like Moran routinely trashed the president and his team with impunity. But following Trump’s overwhelming re-election victory in 2024, the media landscape has shifted. Even programs as notoriously anti-Trump as The View have reportedly been ordered to tone down the vitriol.
Moran’s firing is just the latest signal that corporate media may finally be feeling the heat from an American public tired of weaponized journalism.
ABC’s own bias was put on full display during last year’s presidential debate, when one of the moderators casually linked President Trump to the Ku Klux Klan, while the other was slammed for his overtly partisan approach.

With Moran’s ouster, it seems ABC is beginning to realize that unhinged partisan rants are no longer a shield—they're a liability.
