BREAKING: FBI Foils Los Angeles Terror Plot – Pro-Palestinian Suspects Jailed

Federal law enforcement officials announced Monday that a significant terrorist plot targeting Los Angeles ahead of New Year’s Eve was disrupted before it could be carried out, underscoring ongoing domestic security threats tied to radical extremist movements.

The FBI confirmed that four individuals were taken into custody in connection with an alleged bombing conspiracy, according to Fox News. Authorities say the suspects claimed affiliation with a radical, pro-Palestinian group known as the Turtle Island Liberation Front.

Investigators believe the individuals were planning coordinated attacks scheduled for New Year’s Eve and had discussed conducting an explosives test prior to launching the assault. The alleged plot involved the use of improvised explosive devices, with five separate locations across Los Angeles identified as targets.

Federal officials stated that all four suspects have been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

In a related development, the FBI also announced the arrest of a fifth individual in New Orleans who is allegedly connected to the same extremist group and was planning a separate attack.

According to authorities, a Turtle Island Liberation Front Instagram account claims the group originated in Los Angeles and promotes the idea of “liberating” what it calls “Turtle Island” from American imperialism — rhetoric consistent with far-left, anti-government extremist ideology.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Department of Justice worked closely with the FBI to prevent the attacks and neutralize the threat before lives were lost. She also revealed that the group had specifically targeted U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and vehicles.

“The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government, and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve. The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles,” Bondi stated.

She credited coordinated federal action for stopping the plot in its tracks.

“This was an incredible effort by our U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the @FBI to ensure Americans can live in peace. We will continue to pursue these terror groups and bring them to justice,” Bondi concluded.

The arrests highlight the persistent threat posed by radical domestic networks and reinforce the importance of aggressive law enforcement action to defend public safety, national sovereignty, and the rule of law as the nation heads into the new year.
