Breaking: FBI Releases Photos of Charlie Kirk Assassination Suspect

The FBI on Thursday released images of the suspect believed to be responsible for the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder and president Charlie Kirk.

“We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University,” the agency announced.

The murder stunned conservatives nationwide as Kirk, one of the movement’s most effective and outspoken leaders, was gunned down Wednesday afternoon while speaking at a Turning Point USA campus event. Witnesses reported hearing the crack of what appeared to be a high-powered rifle before Kirk collapsed.

Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Beau Mason provided an update Thursday morning in a video statement posted on X, explaining investigators had pieced together a detailed timeline of the assassin’s movements.

“Starting at 11:52 a.m. the subject arrived on campus, shortly away from campus. We’ve tracked his movements onto the campus, through the stairwells, up to the roof, across the roof to the shooting location,” Mason said.

“After the shooting, we were able to track his movements as he moved to the other side of the building, jumped off the building, and fled off of the campus and into a neighborhood,” he added, noting that law enforcement had already contacted nearby residents to obtain security camera footage.

Mason stressed that while authorities have “good video footage” of the suspect, they are withholding public release of the images for now, unless advanced law enforcement technology fails to produce an identification.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls revealed in a separate video statement that investigators had recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon.

He confirmed a “high-powered, bolt-action rifle” was discovered abandoned in a wooded area along the suspect’s escape route.

The brazenness and precision of the killing have prompted speculation from security experts that Kirk’s assassination bore the hallmarks of a professional operation.

Former FBI agent Stuart Kaplan told Fox News host Jesse Watters that the attack was “a very well-planned, very well-orchestrated plot that was put in motion days before.”

“This individual had a plan of escape… this assassination is indicative of a professional hit,” Kaplan said.

The murder of Charlie Kirk—who built Turning Point USA into one of the largest and most influential conservative youth organizations in America—represents not only a personal tragedy but also a direct attack on the conservative movement itself.
