Calls For Ilhan Omar To Be Deported After She Insults United States
Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Somali refugee granted asylum by the very nation she now represents in Congress, is once again under fire for attacking the United States — the country that gave her and her family a second chance at life.
In an interview with the far-left outlet Democracy Now, Omar unleashed a bitter tirade against America, likening scenes from Los Angeles to life under the dictatorship she fled in Somalia.
The congresswoman condemned the deployment of troops during recent protests and criticized President Donald J. Trump’s military parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army — a celebration she compared to behavior from tyrants.

Despite having lived under real tyranny, Omar claimed that the United States — which took her in as a child refugee — is now becoming “one of the worst countries.”
“To have a democracy, a beacon of hope for the world, to now be turned into one of the... worst countries, where the military are in our streets without any regard for people’s constitutional rights, while our president’s spending millions of dollars propping himself up like a failed dictator with a military parade — it is really shocking,” she claimed.
Omar continued her rant, even appearing to forget that she wasn’t born in the U.S., saying: “This is not the country we were born in. It’s not the country we believe in. This is not the country our Founding Fathers imagined.”
She added, “We should all collectively be out in the streets, rejecting what is taking place this week.”
Taking direct aim at President Trump, Omar accused him of “destroying our country,” stating, “I think the person who is in the process of destroying our country should look in the mirror and that’s Trump.”
The backlash online was swift and fierce.

“She wasn’t born here at all,” one user noted bluntly on X.
“The hyperbole here is appalling, made worse by her astounding ingratitude,” said Fox News contributor Guy Benson.
David Hookstead of OutKick slammed Omar’s disrespect toward America’s military, reminding her: “We have the greatest military on the planet, and we shouldn’t ever apologize for it. After all, our men died to try to protect innocent lives in Somalia. I guess that sacrifice just doesn’t matter to Congresswoman Omar.”
Many Americans are left wondering: if she truly believes the United States is such a terrible place, why does she remain here?
“I will never understand immigrants who come to America, utilize every opportunity this country offers, and then complain about and bash this country. Can we have Ilhan Omar deported?” one commenter wrote.
Another user expressed growing frustration with Congress’s silence: “We have a major problem. Not a single Republican in Congress is demanding her resignation… Trump works 24/7 and Republicans sit back and play footsie with these terrorists in the Democrat party.”

View PlansOthers pointed out the glaring irony in her comments: “There’s literally nothing stopping Omar from leaving if she isn’t happy here…because we’re a free country. Unlike the Somalia she idealizes!”
So far, Omar has made no indication that she intends to leave the country she routinely maligns.
