CBS Cuts Ties With Key Figure Over ‘Indefensible’ Epstein Emails
As the second term of President Donald J. Trump continues to prioritize the restoration of transparency and traditional American accountability, the dark legacy of Jeffrey Epstein’s inner circle continues to haunt the elite media and medical establishment. On Tuesday, reports confirmed that CBS News contributor and celebrity physician Dr. Peter Attia has officially severed ties with the wellness brand David following intense public outcry over vulgar and indefensible email exchanges with the late convicted pedophile.
Attia, who joined CBS News in 2025, has been under fire after a trove of documents revealed the depth of his correspondence with Epstein. The fallout was swift. Peter Rahal, the founder of the protein bar company where Attia served as Chief Science Officer, announced the separation on X: “Dr. Peter Attia has stepped down from his role as Chief Science Officer at David. We remain focused on serving our customers.”
While Attia remains a major investor in the brand, he admitted in a statement that his presence had become a "distraction." However, the details of the emails—released last week—paint a disturbing picture of the "lifestyle" Attia seemingly admired. According to reports from the New York Post, Attia appeared roughly 1,700 times in the recently unsealed files.
In a 2015 message to the notorious sex offender, Attia wrote: “The biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul…” Even more jarring for a medical professional often touted as an authority on health and discipline was a 2016 email where Attia joked that “p—y is, indeed, low carb.”

Attia issued a lengthy apology on Monday, attempting to distance his current self from the man who socialized with Epstein a decade ago. “I apologize and regret putting myself in a position where emails, some of them embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible, are now public, and that is on me. I accept that reality and the humiliation that comes with it,” Attia stated. He further noted, “The man I am today, roughly ten years later, would not write them and would not associate with Epstein at all.”
Despite the stomach-churning nature of the revelations, CBS News has remained silent. While sources indicate that executives are weighing whether to officially sever ties, Attia’s contract remains in effect. Interestingly, reports suggest that Bari Weiss—often a vocal critic of "cancel culture"—is among those hesitant to see the doctor removed from the network.
This hesitancy stands in stark contrast to the standard of morality and national integrity expected by the American public in the post-2025 era. While the mainstream media grapples with its own contributors’ pasts, the wheels of justice are finally turning elsewhere.
The Attia scandal is merely a symptom of a much larger rot that the House Oversight Committee is now aggressively scrubbing. In a massive win for the rule of law, an aide to the panel confirmed that former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have finally agreed to testify regarding their own ties to the Epstein network.
This capitulation comes just days before a scheduled House vote to hold the Clintons in criminal contempt of Congress. After months of dodging subpoenas and missing deposition deadlines, the couple’s legal team requested a delay in the contempt vote, promising that the Clintons will appear for sworn depositions.
For years, the "Epstein list" was treated by the Washington establishment as a protected secret. Under the current administration’s commitment to constitutional oversight, the era of elite immunity appears to be reaching its long-overdue end.
