CHAOS on the Set! Jeffries Explodes At CNBC Host After She Exposed His Lie
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries came unglued this week when confronted with tough but fair questioning over the future of taxpayer-funded subsidies supporting the Affordable Care Act, better known to Americans as “Obamacare.” The law — passed without a single Republican vote during then-President Barack Obama’s first term — continues to saddle taxpayers with massive costs while failing to lower premiums as promised.
Jeffries’ breaking point came during a tense interview Friday with CNBC host Becky Quick, who pressed the Democrat leader on why extending the subsidies should be treated as a foregone conclusion — especially after Democrats themselves approved the expiration date when they controlled Congress under then-President Joe Biden.
“Let’s not go back to what’s done in the past, and what’s not been extended. If you want something to get done, you NEED to do something bipartisan,” Quick said, challenging Jeffries’ narrative as he grew visibly irritated and attempted to shift blame to Republicans rather than address Democrats’ own legislative decisions.
When Jeffries continued dodging responsibility, Quick pushed harder: “I don’t think you want to get a deal done. I think this is something where you’d like to see the rates go higher and allow Republicans to hang themselves with it.”
Jeffries lost his composure. “That is a ridiculous assertion! Shame on you!” he snapped.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! BRUTAL moment as Hakeem Jeffries LOSES IT on CNBC host actually pressing him into answering the question. He just embarrassed himself big time.

The dispute comes on the heels of a high-stakes government shutdown — triggered by Democrats demanding more than a trillion dollars in new spending to reopen the government, much of which was earmarked to continue subsidizing rising Obamacare premiums. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) has been unequivocal in pointing out who created the crisis.
At a recent press conference, Johnson rejected the idea that Republicans were responsible for the exploding costs.
“It is the Democrats who created Obamacare. It is the Democrats who did that without any Republican votes” during then-President Barack Obama’s first term, Johnson said.
He continued, highlighting the real-world consequences inflicted on millions of Americans.
“It’s the Democrats who by extension have cost the American taxpayers and people who have health insurance, have made their costs skyrocket.”
Instead of reforming their failed program, Johnson noted, Democrats are doubling down on throwing more public money at an already broken system.
“It is their policies that made that happen. And instead of reforming it, the Democrats don’t reform Obamacare. They want to subsidize it. They want to spend more taxpayer dollars.”
He also called out where those subsidies really end up.
“That, by the way, goes mostly to insurance companies, which makes the cost rise further. That’s the Democrats’ plan.”
Johnson reminded Americans that what Democrats marketed as “affordable” turned out to be anything but.
“When they passed Obamacare in 2010, they called it the ‘Affordable Care Act.’ We know the truth is exactly the opposite. By some estimates, premiums have risen 60 percent.”
Meanwhile, Johnson argued, Republicans — not Democrats — have taken concrete steps to fix the system.
“Republicans are the ones fighting to save healthcare… We have ideas and we have already implemented ideas and measures to reduce costs, increase access and quality, and eliminate fraud, waste, and abuse.”
He pointed to reforms that removed individuals who should not have been receiving benefits:
“We got millions of ineligible enrollees off the program and it preserved it. It strengthened Medicaid for the people who rely upon it, which is the elderly, disabled, and young pregnant women, as we always use an example.”
Johnson dismissed Democrats’ narrative that the shutdown was about healthcare.
“No, [the shutdown] is not about healthcare. That is a false claim and everybody knows it. Everyone in America, and certainly everybody in this room, understands that this is about something else. It’s about FEAR [of the radical left].”

With Republicans prepared to draft healthcare reforms that rein in costs and protect working families, Democrats appear ready to manufacture another crisis to preserve their decade-old ideological trophy rather than admit failure — even if it means higher premiums for millions.
