Dan Bongino Issues Stern Warning To LA Rioters Attacking ICE

Los Angeles erupted in chaos over the weekend as violent mobs targeted federal law enforcement officers—prompting swift and unapologetic action from President Donald J. Trump and the nation's top security officials.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino issued a chilling warning to the rioters who ambushed Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with rocks during lawful operations in the city. Bongino made it clear: justice is coming.

“We are currently seeking information regarding the identity of the person(s) throwing rocks at vehicles conducting critical law enforcement operations,” Bongino posted on X.
“One of the perpetrators in this video is wearing a helmet, and we’re going to use our investigative tools to locate the individual. I strongly suggest you turn yourself in, it’s only a matter of time.”

Bongino’s words were reinforced by FBI Director Kash Patel, who minced no words about what awaits those who attack law enforcement officers.

“Hit a cop, you’re going to jail… doesn’t matter where you came from, how you got here, or what movement speaks to you,” Patel declared. “If the local police force won’t back our men and women on the thin blue line, we @FBI will.”

The chaos began after ICE agents executed lawful raids on several locations across Los Angeles, including a garment warehouse in the Fashion District. According to Homeland Security Investigations and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, a federal judge found probable cause that the employer was using fraudulent documents for workers—triggering a legitimate federal response.

But the rule of law was met with resistance.

Outside the raided warehouse, mobs formed to block ICE agents from leaving—escalating the situation into a volatile standoff. Downtown, protesters mobbed a federal building over false rumors that detainees were being hidden in the basement. The next day, crowds surged through the streets of Paramount, mistaking another lawful immigration action as cause for outrage.

The protests devolved into vandalism and arrests, with demonstrators spray-painting government property and chanting “Set them free, let them stay!” One of the arrested agitators was David Huerta, the regional president of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), now in federal custody.

President Trump wasted no time taking control of the situation.

Late Saturday night, he invoked Title 10 authority and ordered 2,000 National Guard troops to L.A. County for a minimum of 60 days—or longer, at the Secretary of Defense’s discretion.

“If Governor Gavin Newscum, of California, and Mayor Karen Bass, of Los Angeles, can’t do their jobs, which everyone knows they can’t,” President Trump wrote on Truth Social, “then the Federal Government will step in and solve the problem, RIOTS & LOOTERS, the way it should be solved!!!”

A Pentagon memo revealed that most of the troops would come from the California National Guard, but President Trump’s authorization allows the Secretary of Defense to deploy regular Armed Forces if necessary.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the escalation, warning that active-duty Marines at Camp Pendleton are on high alert should the violence continue.

“The violent mob assaults on ICE and Federal Law Enforcement are designed to prevent the removal of Criminal Illegal Aliens from our soil,” Hegseth posted on X. “A dangerous invasion facilitated by criminal cartels… and a huge NATIONAL SECURITY RISK.”
“Under President Trump, violence & destruction against federal agents & federal facilities will NOT be tolerated. It’s COMMON SENSE.”

The message is loud and clear: Under President Donald Trump’s second term, lawlessness will not be excused, and America’s borders will be defended. The days of chaos-enabled sanctuary cities are numbered.
