Democrat Jasmine Crockett Releases Rap Video To Attack Trump

Far-left Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett of Texas has drawn criticism after releasing a rap video ahead of President Donald Trump’s speech to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday. Many online have labeled the video “embarrassing.”
An opinion piece from the Western Journal remarked, “From the eviction of Georgia Democratic Rep. Al Green for belligerence early in [Trump’s] address to a joint session of Congress to the underwhelming response delivered by Michigan Democratic Sen. Elissa Slotkin, the party was an embarrassment to politics on the kind of night when the American public was paying attention.”
The op-ed further stated, “But Texas Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, a bigoted imbecile by even permissive progressive standards, still managed to stand out.”
Ahead of Trump’s speech, Crockett took to social media to post a video of herself lip-syncing to Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us.” As reported by the rap-focused website AllHipHop, the former criminal defense attorney appeared to be channeling the rapper in her post.

Despite the controversy surrounding Crockett and her party’s actions, Trump’s address was well-received by viewers, according to post-speech polling.
A CBS News/YouGov survey conducted immediately after Trump’s address found that an overwhelming 76 percent of Americans who watched the speech approved of his remarks, while only 23 percent disapproved.
Sixty-eight percent of viewers characterized Trump’s speech as “hopeful,” with a majority also describing it as “presidential,” “inspiring,” “unifying,” and “entertaining.”
A significant portion of Americans who watched the speech felt that Trump addressed issues that were important to them. More than two-thirds of viewers expressed confidence that he had a clear strategy to combat inflation, a problem that began under President Joe Biden. Additionally, over three-quarters of respondents backed Trump’s policies on reducing government waste, immigration, and border security. Despite negative media coverage ahead of the speech, nearly one-quarter of viewers approved of Trump’s approach to handling Ukraine and Russia, according to Breitbart News, which cited the polling results.
Furthermore, more than three-quarters of viewers supported Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) in directing the Sergeant at Arms to remove Rep. Al Green (D-TX) from the chamber after he repeatedly interrupted Trump’s speech despite multiple warnings.
A separate post-speech poll conducted by CNN echoed similar findings.
