Democrat Lawmaker Slammed After Sharing Image Depicting Beheaded President Trump

A North Carolina Democrat lawmaker is under fire for promoting violent imagery against President Donald J. Trump, escalating concerns about the growing radicalism within the Left.

State Rep. Julie von Haefen sparked national outrage over the weekend after sharing a shocking photo from a “No Kings” protest. The image, which she personally posted, depicted a grotesque representation of a beheaded President Trump—an act many are calling outright incitement of political violence.

Though von Haefen eventually deleted the post and her entire X account, the damage was already done. Screenshots spread rapidly across social media, igniting a wave of bipartisan condemnation and calls for a federal investigation.

“Rep. Julie von Haefen breaks her silence— issues statement after sharing a photo calling for the beheading of President Trump. Not buying any of this,” the popular Libs of TikTok account posted.

“She knew exactly what she was doing. She’s just sorry she got caught. Julie needs to face accountability and consequences. Leftist political violence is at all-time highs. They have been getting away with it for far too long. Enough is enough.”

Other X users, including @DutchyPerdition and @Alaskacryptogi1, shared the original image von Haefen promoted, voicing alarm over her role in amplifying such hateful content.

“REP. Julie Von Haefen needs a restraining order. She’s sick and this is dangerous. Democrats feed the mentally unstable. They are the reason. This is inciteful and disgusting,” wrote the Alaskagirl account. “I know she’s a state Representative but she needs reprimanded like now. She needs banned forever from all federal buildings.”

Pattern of Leftist Political Violence

This shocking incident isn’t occurring in a vacuum. President Trump has already survived two assassination attempts during last year’s campaign—one in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was grazed by a bullet that killed a supporter behind him, and another at his private golf course in West Palm Beach.

Moreover, the timing of von Haefen’s post coincides with rising acts of political violence, including a wave of left-wing protests targeting ICE officers and federal buildings, and the brutal assassination of Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband. On the same day, state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife narrowly survived an assassination attempt in their home.

The shooter in those cases, 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter, was apprehended Sunday after a two-day manhunt.

Conservatives across the country are demanding that von Haefen be held accountable—not just for the imagery, but for the dangerous climate of hostility it encourages.

“North Carolina Democrat Representative Julie Von Haefen, I DON’T BELIEVE YOU!” wrote one X user. “You are a Democrat, and all Democrats do is spew hate, division, fear, and violence. It’s what Democrats do best! YOU, Julie, are an embarrassment to North Carolina and America. You should RESIGN!”

Another added sarcastically: “This public servant, Julie Van Haefen, deleted her X account because people were being mean to her. She’s a member of the Democrat party, which claims to be patriotic. However, instead of going to a really great Army parade, she decided to encourage murdering the President. Now people are being mean to her, and she feels like that’s unfair.”

Calls are growing louder for state and federal law enforcement—particularly the Secret Service and FBI—to investigate von Haefen’s actions as potential threats against a sitting U.S. president.
