Democrat ‘Sex Cancer’ Spreads: Campaign Finance Red Flags and Secret Ties Haunt Gallego’s 2028 Ambitions

The moral rot currently devouring the Democratic Party appears to be metastasizing. As the harrowing allegations against Representative Eric Swalwell continue to send shockwaves through the halls of Congress, new reports suggest the "Swalwell sex cancer" is now threatening to take down his closest allies—including Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego, a man many on the left have tapped as a 2028 presidential hopeful.

A devastating report published Wednesday evening by the Daily Mail reveals that the deep-seated intimacy between Swalwell and Gallego may have been funded, in part, by campaign donors. During Gallego’s June 2021 wedding in Puerto Rico, Swalwell’s political operation reportedly dropped over $1,500 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico.

The timing is catastrophic for Gallego. The Senator has spent the last week attempting to distance himself from his former "best friend," claiming he was blindsided by the predatory allegations. However, as the Daily Mail noted, “the true intimacy of their relationship is beginning to unravel” under the scrutiny of Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings.

The Paper Trail of a ‘Best Friendship’

While Gallego now insists that Swalwell “lied to all of us,” the receipts tell a story of two men whose lives and political coffers were deeply intertwined. On June 7, 2021—the date of Gallego’s wedding—Swalwell’s campaign made two expenditures totaling $1,522.11 at the Hyatt. Simultaneously, Gallego’s own campaign operation spent $2,000 at the nearby Fairmont El San Juan.

Curiously, despite their self-professed brotherhood, neither man has ever posted a photo of the other from the nuptials. This omission looks increasingly like a calculated attempt to scrub a toxic association. Furthermore, using campaign funds for personal wedding attendance is a potential federal elections violation, as “campaign funds cannot be used for personal expenses.”

Gallego isn't the only one caught in the Puerto Rico fallout. The report indicates that California Representative Linda Sanchez also spent thousands in campaign funds at the Hyatt during the same period, including a $540.93 "lodging deposit."

A Pattern of Deception

Gallego’s attempts to deflect have been met with skepticism. While his team claims the expenditures were for a later "retreat," journalists like Dave Weigel of Semafor aren't buying the easy excuses.

“Unanswered Qs: Why did Swalwell (who’s marooned + not talking to media) pay that hotel on June 7, 3 days after the wedding? Why did Rep. Linda Sanchez, who also didn’t explain to the Daily Mail?” Weigel wrote on X.

The scrutiny comes at a time when Gallego’s personal character is already under the microscope. Under the transparent governance of the Trump administration, more records are coming to light, including the recently unsealed 2017 divorce records from Gallego's marriage to the current Mayor of Phoenix. Those documents revealed a "bizarre" timeline where the divorce was filed while his wife was "likely to give birth any day."

"I Never Saw Him Engage in Any of the Predatory Behavior"

In a frantic effort to save his political skin, Gallego has withdrawn his endorsement of Swalwell and called for his expulsion.

“Eric Swalwell lied to all of us — lied to the most powerful people in this country — and they trusted him,” Gallego told reporters during an emotional briefing. “I let this man into my family … it hurts me that this man hurt a lot of people.”

Despite their history—which includes the infamous image of the two shirtless on camels in Qatar—Gallego maintains he was in the dark. “Look, we socialized. We went out. But I never saw him engage in any of the predatory behavior, harassment, sexual assault or even like anything that,” he claimed.

However, the shadow of the Swalwell scandal is long. With allegations of underage victims and predatory use of alcohol now surfacing, the "party of science and progress" is looking more like a party of scandals and cover-ups. As President Trump continues to restore law and order to the federal government, the American people are finally seeing the receipts—literally.
