Dems Plan Pathetic Stunts To Counter Trump’s SOTU Address

As President Donald J. Trump prepares to deliver his 2026 State of the Union address, several House Democrats are signaling they intend to turn the high-profile evening into a political spectacle.

Lawmakers on the Left announced they will bring guests connected to the Jeffrey Epstein case and to recent immigration enforcement actions, underscoring ongoing partisan tensions over transparency, accountability, and border security.

California Reps. Ro Khanna and Robert Garcia confirmed they will attend the speech with women who have publicly accused convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein of abuse and who are advocating for additional document releases.

Khanna said he will bring Haley Robson, who has previously spoken about her experience. Garcia announced he will bring Annie Farmer, another accuser calling for expanded public access to federal records related to Epstein’s activities, according to the Daily Caller.

Other Democrats are reportedly planning similar moves. Invitations have also been extended to family members of the late Virginia Roberts Giuffre and additional survivors concerned about how the Justice Department is handling the release of millions of pages under the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

Congress passed — and President Trump readily signed — the Epstein Files Transparency Act late last year, fulfilling a key campaign pledge. Since then, approximately 3.5 million documents connected to multiple Epstein investigations have been released. Notably, Democrats showed little urgency regarding the files during the presidency of Joe Biden, even as President Trump repeatedly pledged full transparency on the campaign trail.

Meanwhile, immigration enforcement has become another focal point for Democratic guest selections.

Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar announced she will bring four guests to the address, including individuals she claims were detained by ICE during unrest in Minnesota following the death of Renee Nicole Good. According to the New York Post, one of those guests, Aliya Rahman, appeared in a viral video showing federal agents removing her from her vehicle.

Omar’s guest list includes Rahman, Mary Granlund, Mubashir Hussen, and Gerardo Orozco Guzman.

“The stories of these four Minnesotans reflect how ICE’s reckless actions in Minnesota through ‘Operation Metro Surge’ have devastated Minnesotans’ safety and economic security,” her press release stated.

Democrats say their invited guests are meant to spotlight what they describe as concerns over transparency in the Epstein case and the human impact of federal immigration enforcement.

Republicans, for their part, are expected to highlight a very different set of priorities. GOP members have invited Olympic athletes, families of fallen law enforcement officers, and other guests who reflect themes of public safety, national pride, and service.

Virginia Democrat James Walkinshaw announced he will invite Jess Michaels, who alleged that Epstein sexually abused her in 1991 when she was 22 years old, according to WUSA9 News. Additionally, Democratic Reps. Suhas Subramanyan and Jamie Raskin stated they intend to bring family members of Giuffre as guests.

President Trump’s address to the joint session of Congress is expected to focus squarely on economic growth, national security, immigration enforcement, and restoring American strength at home and abroad. Supporters say the speech will underscore the administration’s commitment to law and order, constitutional governance, and government transparency — including the unprecedented release of millions of Epstein-related documents.

While Democrats prepare symbolic gestures for primetime television, President Trump is poised to lay out a forward-looking agenda centered on American prosperity, border security, and accountability under the rule of law.
