Devout Christian, NFL Star Tim Tebow Announces Major News

Former NFL star and collegiate athlete Tim Tebow, along with his wife and former Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Tebow, announced an exciting milestone for their family this week—they are expecting their first child.
The couple shared the news via a joint Instagram post, featuring a video of them holding hands. In the clip, the former quarterback unveiled a series of ultrasound images to reveal their growing family. Demi-Leigh also turned to display her baby bump, both beaming with excitement. The caption read simply, “Baby Tebow,” with the announcement that their little one is due this summer, according to the Daily Wire.
“Team Tebow is growing! Tim Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh are thrilled to share with PEOPLE exclusively that they’re expecting their first child before making the announcement public on Instagram,” another post from the former beauty pageant winner revealed.
Expressing her excitement, Demi-Leigh told the magazine, “We are just so over the moon to be having a baby together.” Tebow, a Heisman Trophy winner during his time as quarterback for the University of Florida, added, “It’s an incredible privilege and joy to step into this new role as parents.”
“I’m beyond grateful,” Demi-Leigh continued, “because I couldn’t ask for a better partner to share life with. To raise a tiny human together is such a blessing. I’m so thankful that Tim is my husband… that we get to do parenting together.”
She added, “Every time I say, ‘Tim’s going to be a dad!’ it feels so surreal.”
Tebow, who has also served as a college football analyst and briefly played in the NFL, including a playoff win with the Denver Broncos, reflected on how becoming a parent is reshaping his perspective.
“It’s incredible how news like this reprioritizes everything,” he said. “It shifts what matters most and brings an unparalleled level of joy. It’s truly amazing.”
A vocal pro-life advocate, Tebow previously shared his mother’s inspiring story during the 2021 March for Life event. He recounted how, despite medical advice to terminate her pregnancy, his mother relied on her faith and chose to give birth to him.
Meanwhile, in late December, President-elect Donald Trump attended the annual Army-Navy college football game in Andover, Md., alongside Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
“NEW: Florida Governor @RonDeSantis will attend the Army-Navy football game with President-Elect @realDonaldTrump next Saturday, per a source familiar with DeSantis’ schedule,” Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin reported on X (formerly Twitter).
This news followed speculation from The New York Times about Trump possibly replacing his defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth with DeSantis—a claim later debunked.
Ahead of the game, Trump reaffirmed his support for Hegseth on X, writing:
“Pete Hegseth is doing very well. His support is strong and deep, much more so than the Fake News would have you believe. He was a great student—Princeton/Harvard educated—with a military state of mind. He will be a fantastic, high-energy Secretary of Defense, one who leads with charisma and skill. Pete is a WINNER, and there is nothing that can be done to change that!!!”
Vice President-elect JD Vance shared Trump’s post, adding, “Led by President Trump, we’re fighting for Pete Hegseth. And we’re doing so because Pete Hegseth will fight for our troops. For too long, the Pentagon has been led by people who lose wars. Pete Hegseth is a man who fought in those wars. We’ve got his back.”
