DHS Rescues Migrant Children From California Pot Farm; President Trump Slams Violent Leftist Mob
Federal immigration authorities, with backing from the National Guard, carried out raids at two cannabis farms in Southern California this week—uncovering a disturbing scene: unaccompanied migrant children allegedly forced into illegal labor.
According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), agents arrested dozens of individuals, including undocumented minors, during the raids on Glass House Farms in Camarillo and another grow site in Carpinteria. Both operations began around 8:30 a.m., and by mid-morning, hundreds of far-left protesters had descended upon the area, clashing violently with federal officers.
Sky5 aerial footage from KTLA captured a large federal presence in Camarillo as law enforcement secured the premises. Meanwhile, agitators blocked traffic and hurled projectiles at officers—prompting authorities to deploy tear gas and non-lethal rounds by midday to restore order.
Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott reported that 10 undocumented minors were found at the Camarillo location—eight of whom were unaccompanied. “This is Newsom’s California,” Scott wrote on X, referring to Governor Gavin Newsom, who has prioritized sanctuary policies over child safety and border security.
Glass House Farms is now under investigation for potential child labor violations, including possible human trafficking or smuggling, according to DHS.
Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom responded to the enforcement action with predictable outrage, launching political attacks against the Trump administration on social media. DHS responded with a blistering rebuke:
“Why are there children working at a marijuana facility, Gavin?”
They added, “The Biden administration lost ~300,000 unaccompanied children—many of these innocent children were trafficked and exploited. At the Ventura, California marijuana facility, [ICE] and [CBP] law enforcement rescued 8 unaccompanied migrant children from what looks like exploitation, violation of child labor laws and potentially human trafficking or smuggling.”

The Department further emphasized: “Unaccompanied migrant children shouldn’t be forced into labor at California marijuana facilities.”
U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli confirmed the operation via X, writing:
“Federal agents are executing a search warrant at this marijuana farm. Agents have already arrested multiple individuals for impeding this operation and will continue to make arrests. Don’t interfere. You will be arrested and charged with a federal offense.”
By early afternoon, tensions boiled over. Protesters blocked both directions of Laguna Road. Tear gas was deployed as some began assaulting officers and damaging government property.
Later, Essayli released video footage showing what appears to be a man firing at federal agents during the unrest.

He confirmed that the FBI is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of the shooter.
President Donald J. Trump addressed the chaos in a powerful Truth Social post on Friday. “I am on my way back from Texas, and watched in disbelief as THUGS were violently throwing rocks and bricks at ICE Officers while they were moving down a roadway in their car and/or official vehicle. Tremendous damage was done to these brand new vehicles,” the President wrote.
He then issued a firm directive:
“I am directing Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, and Border Czar, Tom Homan, to instruct all ICE, Homeland Security, or any other Law Enforcement Officer who is on the receiving end of thrown rocks, bricks, or any other form of assault, to stop their car, and arrest these SLIMEBALLS, using whatever means is necessary to do so.”
President Trump has made it clear: the era of sanctuary lawlessness and child exploitation is over. Federal law enforcement will not back down in the face of violent mobs or radical politicians who enable the abuse of minors for profit.
