Disney Under Fire: President Trump Demands Kimmel’s Ousting After ‘Expectant Widow’ Slur Against First Lady

The radical left’s rhetorical assault on the First Family has reached a dangerous new low. President Donald J. Trump is calling for the immediate termination of ABC host Jimmy Kimmel following a "beyond the pale" sketch that many argue crossed the line from satire into an incitement of violence.

The controversy stems from Kimmel’s alternative "White House Correspondents’ Dinner" roast, aired last Thursday. During the segment, Kimmel utilized a doctored video to mock the First Family, specifically targeting First Lady Melania Trump with a remark that has sent shockwaves through the country.

“Our First Lady Melania is here… so beautiful, Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow,” Kimmel said.

The timing of the "joke" was particularly chilling. Just forty-eight hours after the broadcast, a would-be assassin attempted to storm the ballroom of the actual White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C., armed with a shotgun, a handgun, and multiple knives.

President Trump Blasts 'Despicable Call to Violence'

Taking to Truth Social on Monday, President Trump didn't mince words regarding the late-night host's dwindling relevance and his increasingly toxic commentary.

“Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is in no way funny as attested to by his terrible Television Ratings, made a statement on his Show that is really shocking. He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, like they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to him speak, which they weren’t, and never would be,” the President posted.

Linking the rhetoric directly to the weekend's security threat, the President continued: “A day later a lunatic tried entering the ballroom of the White House Correspondents Dinner, loaded up with a shotgun, handgun, and many knives. He was there for a very obvious and sinister reason.”

The President concluded with a direct challenge to ABC’s parent company: “I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale. Jimmy Kimmel should be immediately fired by Disney and ABC.”

The First Lady Responds: 'Enough is Enough'

First Lady Melania Trump, who has long advocated for civility through her platform, issued a rare and stinging rebuke of the network's leadership.

“Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy — his words are corrosive and [deepen] the political sickness within America,” she wrote in a statement on X.

The First Lady emphasized that the protection offered by corporate media only emboldens such behavior. “People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community[?]”

A Pattern of Radical Rhetoric

This is not the first time Kimmel has faced scrutiny for using his taxpayer-subsidized airwaves to spread inflammatory misinformation. Last September, ABC was forced to suspend the host for a week after he attempted to frame the tragic murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

At the time, Kimmel falsely claimed: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

However, the facts told a different story. Investigations revealed the assailant, Tyler Robinson, was motivated by extreme anti-fascist ideology. Utah Governor Spencer Cox confirmed that Robinson had inscribed "Hey Fascist! Catch!" alongside an antifa symbol on a bullet casing. Robinson’s own text messages further solidified the political nature of the hit, stating: “I had enough of [Kirk’s] hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

As calls for accountability grow, the question remains whether Disney and ABC will continue to harbor a host whose "humor" appears to increasingly mirror the motivations of political extremists.
