Eric Trump Shares Jaw-Dropping Donald And Melania Divorce Claim
Eric Trump went scorched-earth Monday night, blasting Joe Biden’s weaponized Justice Department for what he described as a years-long crusade to destroy President Donald J. Trump and his family — even going so far, he said, as to try to break up his parents’ marriage.
Appearing on Newsmax’s “Rob Schmitt Tonight,” the president’s son reacted to Democrats lamenting the treatment of disgraced former FBI Director James Comey, who was indicted last week. Eric didn’t hold back, calling out the left’s hypocrisy for accusing President Trump of “weaponizing” the DOJ while they themselves used it to pursue political enemies.
“They raided his home! They raided Mar-a-Lago! They tried to get him divorced! They tried to separate our family!” Eric exclaimed. “They came after me like a dog. They treated our family horribly.”
A source close to Eric clarified that his “divorce” reference pointed to the infamous Christopher Steele dossier, a Clinton-funded smear file riddled with false allegations meant to damage Trump politically and personally. “When they talk about golden showers in their paid-for-fake-dossier, paid for by Hillary Clinton, you better believe their intent is to divide a marriage,” the source told Newsmax.
The FBI’s 2022 raid on Mar-a-Lago remains one of the darkest moments for the Trump family. Federal agents stormed the private residence of a sitting president, seizing documents they claimed were classified — though President Trump has maintained all along that he had the authority to possess them.
Even First Lady Melania Trump, who rarely comments publicly, condemned the raid as an invasion of privacy. In a September 2024 interview on “Fox & Friends,” she said: “I saw unpleasant stuff that nobody wants to see it. And you get angry because, you know, nobody should be putting up with that kind of stuff. Some person – I don’t even know who or how many people – they, you know, they went through my stuff.”
Eric Trump directly blamed top Biden officials for orchestrating the assault on his family. “[Former attorney general] Merrick Garland was at the forefront of it all,” he said. “And Joe Biden was at the forefront of it all when they raided our home, when they raided Mar-a-Lago, when they raided Melania’s closet, when they raided 16-year-old Barron’s room.”
He also tied the DOJ’s actions to the years of politically motivated efforts to stop President Trump — from the Russia hoax to the two failed impeachments and the barrage of indictments. “You know, they went after him for a Russia hoax that did not exist, that was paid for by Hillary Clinton,” Eric said. “The FBI and the DOJ spied on my father’s campaign. They de-platformed him. They weaponized every attorney general and every district attorney around the country. They indicted him 91 times, 34 times in a bogus trial in New York City.”
Eric also took aim at the Fulton County mugshot spectacle. “They posted his mugshot. He’s the most recognizable person in the world. They posted his mugshot even though they didn’t need to. It totally backfired on them,” he said.
He accused the Biden regime and left-wing prosecutors of trying to “bankrupt” the family and destroy the Trump Organization: “They tried to go after our employees! They attacked us. They tried to bankrupt our company. They de-platformed us! They stripped every bank account away from me and the Trump Organization that you can imagine.”
Now, Eric is going public with what he calls the full story in his upcoming book, Under Siege: My Family’s Fight to Save Our Nation, set for release in two weeks. The book promises a detailed account of how the Trumps endured years of political persecution, corruption, and character assassination.
