Exclusive: VP JD Vance Confirms Investigation into Ilhan Omar’s ‘Definite’ Immigration Fraud
As the Trump administration continues its scorched-earth campaign against systemic corruption, Vice President JD Vance has dropped a bombshell regarding one of the Left’s most protected figures. In a sit-down interview with Benny Johnson on Friday, the Vice President—who serves as President Trump's "fraud czar"—stated unequivocally that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) bypassed legal channels and committed fraud to enter the United States.
Vance’s revelation marks a turning point in the long-standing allegations surrounding the Minnesota Congresswoman, suggesting that the era of "rules for thee, but not for me" in Washington is officially over.
'Definitely Committed Fraud'
During the interview, Vice President Vance did not mince words about the evidence mounting against Omar. He linked her not just to personal immigration discrepancies, but to a wider culture of exploitation within her district.
“Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America,” Vance told Johnson. “She has been at the center of a lot of the worst fraudsters in the Somali community.”
The Vice President’s findings come as part of his broader mandate under President Trump’s second-term agenda to root out the "deep state" of financial and procedural misconduct. Since taking the lead on fraud enforcement, Vance has already exposed tens of billions in fraudulent payments flowing to "ghost" entities in Democrat strongholds like California and Minnesota.
On the X platform, Johnson shared a clip of an interview with Newsmax host Rob Schmitt, adding: “Today, for the first time, we got 100% on the record confirmation that Rep. Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud. Lying on your immigration forms is an immediate denaturalization. Vice President JD Vance says DHS is exploring enforcement. Ilhan needs to be deported.”

Momentum Grows for Expulsion
The Vice President’s comments have added fuel to a growing movement on Capitol Hill to remove Omar from the People's House. Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) has signaled he is seriously weighing a motion to expel the Congresswoman, citing both the immigration allegations and her radical ideological leanings.
“I don’t think she should be a citizen, let alone a member of Congress,” Fine stated earlier this month. “I won’t send out fundraising emails calling for her expulsion. If I’m going to do that, you will see me bring the piece of paper. And I am actively considering that.”
While expulsion requires a two-thirds majority—a high hurdle in a divided House—the pressure is mounting as more details emerge regarding the "Feeding Our Future" scandal. The $250 million COVID-era fraud scheme, which involved the theft of funds intended for hungry children, was centered in Omar's district.
When pressed by Fox News’ Nicholas Ballasy on whether her support for the MEALS Act facilitated this massive theft, Omar remained defiant. “Absolutely not, it did help feed kids,” she claimed.
President Trump: 'Her Friends Are Garbage'
President Trump has been equally vocal, framing the Omar controversy as a symptom of a failed immigration system that prioritizes radicalism over American values. In recent remarks, the President questioned the wisdom of admitting large numbers of migrants from nations that do not share the American commitment to the rule of law.
“I don’t want them in our country. I’ll be honest with you, okay,” President Trump said, according to NBC News. “Somebody will say, ‘Oh, that’s not politically correct.’ I don’t care.”
Referring to Omar’s associates and the network of fraud being uncovered in Minneapolis, the President added: “Her friends are garbage. These aren’t people that work. These aren’t people that say, ‘Let’s go, come on, let’s make this place great.’ These are people that do nothing but complain.”
As Republican challenger John Nagel ramps up his campaign for Minnesota’s 5th District, he is highlighting the geographic coincidence of the $1 billion in total fraud scandals plaguing the area. “If you look at where the fraud is, it’s primarily her district,” Nagel noted. “And it’s really odd to think that all the fraud just happened in a particular area.”
With the Department of Homeland Security reportedly exploring enforcement actions, the walls appear to be closing in on one of the most controversial figures in modern political history.
