Fact Checkers Claim Mamdani Isn’t a Communist — His Own Words Say Otherwise

The left’s favorite referees — so-called fact checkers — have once again exposed themselves as partisan actors, not objective truth-tellers. Their latest cover-up? Labeling as “false” President Donald Trump’s assertion that New York City mayoral primary winner Zohran Mamdani is a communist.

PolitiFact, a once-respected site that now serves as a PR arm for the Democratic Party, issued the rating after consulting unnamed “experts.” Their logic? Mamdani supports policies like affordable housing and cheaper groceries — not, they claim, the wholesale government seizure of industry. Therefore, in their eyes, he’s not a communist.

Except there’s one major problem: Mamdani said it himself.

In a now-viral video posted to X, Mamdani lays out his real beliefs — and they go far beyond your typical leftist talking points.

“There are also other issues that we firmly believe in,” Mamdani said, “whether it’s BDS [Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions, a pro-Palestinian movement targeting Israel] or whether it’s the end goal of seizing the means of production, where we do not have the same level of support.”

That phrase — “seizing the means of production” — is not some vague political metaphor. It’s the very core of Marxist and communist ideology. And Mamdani proudly identified it as his end goal.

So why did PolitiFact ignore this? Because acknowledging it would undermine their narrative — and the Democratic Party’s brand management.

Instead, they fell back on the same tired excuse:

“Accusing Democrats of being communists or communist sympathisers is a frequent misleading attack line by some Republicans... a red scare tactic... transformed by the success of some democratic socialists, including U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders.”

In other words: nothing to see here, folks. Just another Republican conspiracy.

But this isn’t the first time the “fact-checking” industry has run cover for the Left.

Take the infamous lie that President Trump called neo-Nazis “very fine people” in Charlottesville. Democrats, including Joe Biden, used it as a campaign talking point for years — and only in June 2024, just days before a disastrous presidential debate performance by Biden, did Snopes finally debunk it.

Coincidence? Or strategic timing to prepare the ground for Biden’s replacement?

These aren’t neutral watchdogs. They’re partisan gatekeepers — interns with keyboards doing the bidding of D.C. operatives.

And now, they’re telling you Mamdani’s self-declared goal of seizing the means of production doesn’t make him a communist.

Because as long as you serve the Left’s agenda, your words don’t mean what they say.
