FBI Launching Probe After Secret Service ID’s New Threat To Trump

Federal authorities have launched an investigation after the Secret Service discovered what appeared to be a hunting stand positioned with a direct line of sight to the location where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport.

According to Fox News Digital, the elevated structure had reportedly been in place for several months before being detected during a security sweep.

“Prior to the President’s return to West Palm Beach, USSS discovered what appeared to be an elevated hunting stand within sightline of the Air Force One landing zone,” FBI Director Kash Patel told the outlet.

Patel confirmed that no individuals were found at the scene but said the bureau had assumed control of the investigation.

“The FBI has since taken the investigatory lead, flying in resources to collect all evidence from the scene, and deploying our cell phone analytics capabilities,” he added.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino said on Fox News Monday that the structure has since been “completely dismantled” and transported to FBI headquarters outside Washington, D.C., for forensic analysis.

“All available tools will be applied to try and find out who put this up there and why,” Bongino stated.

The discovery prompted heightened security measures on Sunday as President Trump arrived in Palm Beach. He boarded Air Force One via a smaller staircase instead of the traditional main stairway — a move reflecting “increased security measures,” according to officials.

Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi told Fox that the agency is “working closely” with the FBI and local Palm Beach law enforcement.

“There was no impact to any movements, and no individuals were present or involved at the location,” Guglielmi said. “While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures.”

The discovery follows a string of alarming incidents involving threats against President Trump.

Just weeks ago, Ryan Routh was convicted of attempting to assassinate President Trump while he was golfing in Palm Beach. Prosecutors said Routh had constructed a sniper’s nest near the course before being stopped by the Secret Service.

And earlier this summer, Thomas Crooks nearly succeeded in assassinating then–Republican nominee Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, before being fatally shot by law enforcement. Crooks’ attack left one spectator dead and multiple others injured.

Last month, chilling videos surfaced showing Crooks practicing with a handgun in his bedroom. In the clips, obtained by Candace Owens, Crooks can be seen dry-firing at an unseen target and posing with the weapon — scenes Owens described as “a disturbing window into his obsession.”

Investigators later discovered that Crooks had searched online, “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” just one week before the shooting — evidence of a fixation with presidential assassinations that has raised new concerns about the political climate in the United States.

The FBI has not yet disclosed whether the Palm Beach hunting stand incident is connected to any previous threats, but officials acknowledge that the discovery represents a serious breach of perimeter security and underscores the extraordinary risk facing President Trump.
