FBI Looking At Who May Have ‘Aided And Abetted’ Kirk Assassin

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino revealed Monday that federal investigators are probing whether Tyler Robinson — the accused assassin of conservative leader Charlie Kirk — was aided by an extended network of radical associates.

Speaking with Bill Hemmer on Fox News’ America’s Newsroom, Bongino said agents are examining “multiple warning signs” Robinson displayed before the killing, and whether others may have provided support or looked the other way.

“We’ll also be dropping a lot of paper, a lot of subpoenas out there, to take a look to see if there was any extended network,” Bongino told Hemmer, noting that officials are investigating whether anyone “even financially helped, or someone who knew the specifics of it and failed to report that.”

As The Post reported Sunday, federal investigators are already scrutinizing Robinson’s ties to radical online groups — including pro-trans collectives, sexually explicit “furry” communities, and associates on the gaming platform Steam. One such group, Armed Queers SLC, quickly shut down its Instagram account in the wake of Kirk’s assassination.

Bongino confirmed the bureau is also reviewing whether others at Utah Valley University — including the TikTok user who was questioning Kirk about transgender-related mass shootings at the very moment of the sniper attack — may have had advance knowledge of the plot.

“I don’t want to say conclusively right now if there was a connection or not,” Bongino said when pressed on the timing of the gunfire. “It’s not terribly uncommon for [Kirk] to get questions like that. However, we are looking into that.”

Kirk, a 31-year-old husband, father of two, and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was gunned down on September 10 while addressing a crowd of roughly 3,000 students and supporters. He was struck in the neck by a single round and died shortly after being rushed to a nearby hospital.

The suspected shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was arrested 33 hours later after his father recognized him from FBI surveillance photos and turned him in. Authorities say Robinson, whose live-in boyfriend is transitioning from male to female, was radicalized in part by leftist ideology and pro-trans online communities.

“There appear to have been multiple warning signs,” Bongino said, pointing to Robinson’s increasingly extreme political views as observed by friends and family. Inscribed shell casings recovered from the scene reportedly carried slogans tied to pro-trans and anti-fascist groups.

A relative of Robinson’s roommate told Fox News Digital they believe Robinson’s boyfriend may have been a central influence. “I think Tyler got a whole lot worse in the year they have been dating,” the relative said. “They are big gamers, and obviously they have that group that influences them as well as others. But my gut tells me [the roommate] did more of the influencing.”

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R) said Robinson had been “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” though he was not formally affiliated with any party. Authorities also confirmed Robinson “didn’t like” Kirk or his conservative worldview.

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed Monday that investigators obtained a chilling text Robinson sent before the murder. In it, he bragged that he had “an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk — and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for.”

The new revelations point to the possibility that Kirk’s assassination was not simply the act of one unhinged individual, but the culmination of radicalization fueled by left-wing ideology, online extremist communities, and possibly coordinated support.
