Former NASCAR Driver Chase Pistone Dies at 42, Leaving Racing Community in Shock
The American racing world is mourning the sudden loss of a driver whose family legacy runs deep in NASCAR history. Chase Pistone, grandson of two-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner “Tiger” Tom Pistone, has passed away at the age of 42.

“I was his biggest fan and I loved him so much,” Nick told Legends Nation.
“Chase was not only a wheelman in Legends and Late Models, but his Chase Pistone Inc. Legends team was a force to be reckoned with every time they showed up at a track, and they usually walked away with the winner’s trophy,” Legends Nation wrote of the late driver.
While officials have not publicly confirmed the cause of Pistone’s death, the outlet noted that the family asked for information about the national crisis hotline to be shared.
“Tom and Nick requested Legends Nation post the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, which is 988 on a phone or text,” the site reported.
The request sparked concern among many fans who followed Pistone’s career and admired the racing family that helped shape him.
Beyond grassroots racing, Pistone also competed at the national level. According to Fox News, he took part in 10 NASCAR events during his career. His best finish came in 2014 at the Toyota 200 held at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway in Madison, Illinois, where he placed ninth.
