Former Trump Adviser Mike Flynn Drops Bombshell After Comey Indictment
Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn says the indictment of disgraced former FBI Director James Comey is only the first step in what must be a much larger reckoning with corruption inside the American government.
Comey — who led the Bureau from 2013 to 2017 and oversaw the infamous “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign — was indicted this week for allegedly misleading lawmakers during a 2020 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing. He has denied wrongdoing and vowed to fight the charges.
In an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, Flynn blasted Comey’s recent online video response, calling it a dangerous signal to America’s political left.
“Now what is Jim Comey going to do? Jim Comey, on his little video that he put out, you know, he’s signaling, he’s signaling to everybody. He’s, it’s, you know, the dog whistle, and maybe there’s some threats that are put in there. We don’t know, you know, we’ll have to figure that out. But it’s certainly a signal to everybody,” Flynn said.
According to Flynn, the message was not one of defiance but reassurance to entrenched left-wing forces.
“Hey, don’t worry about this. We’re going to get, we’re going to be okay. We’re not going to, you know, it’s not about, I’m going to stand and fight. No, this is about whistling to the Marxist left in this country, the infiltration of our country by a very, very serious threat,” he warned.
Flynn tied Comey’s indictment to broader dangers facing the nation, pointing to communist and Islamist influences that he believes are undermining America from within.
“And yet, we can blame China. Yes, they’re, they’re to blame partially. Yes, we can blame Russia. Yep, that’s the idea of an ism that’s called communism. There’s also the rise of Islamism,” he said. His deepest concern, he added, is for the younger generation who will inherit the consequences.
“I’m in the, sort of the waning age group of your audience, right? I mean, your audience is generally a young crowd out there, and I want them to know that guys like me, guys like you, but there are others. We’re standing up fighting, not for me. I don’t give a shit about me at this point. What I care about is this country, because I have children and I have grandchildren, and we are going to have to fight through this,” Flynn emphasized.
Yeah, Comey got indicted. But let’s be clear, that’s just the first crack in the dam. The corruption inside our government runs much deeper, and Comey is only one piece of a larger, coordinated operation.

Flynn cautioned that Comey’s indictment should not be seen as the conclusion of anything.
“This is just the beginning. If people think that, oh, this is great. Comey has been indicted. Wonderful. Clap pat yourselves on the back. You know, brush the crap off of your shoes, or put your running shoes on, because we all have got to start running now, this is just the beginning,” he declared.
He predicted more indictments are likely, calling the rot inside government a “cancer” that extends beyond Washington.
“There will likely be other indictments, and that’s good and it we start to get at this leadership team. But we have such a cancer inside of our our government right now, and that’s at that’s at federal, state and local,” Flynn said.
Finally, he urged Americans everywhere to take personal responsibility for defending freedom and preserving the nation.
“My message to the American people is you better wake up to the fact that we all have a responsibility as citizens of this great country to serve this country. You don’t just have to serve in the United States military. You can serve your country down at your community level. And that’s my message to America. If people don’t wake up and start serving this country and in so many different ways, it does take sacrifice. That’s what freedom costs. Freedom is not free. It requires sacrifice. It requires a lot of things,” Flynn said.
As Flynn made clear, the fight for America’s future is far from over — and the Comey indictment may prove to be only the first crack in the wall of institutional corruption that President Trump and his allies have long sought to expose.
