Fox News Host On ‘The Five’ Forced To Make Unbelievable Live Admission

Fox News commentator Jessica Tarlov corrected a previous assertion that a Super PAC backing Donald Trump was financing the legal expenses of Tony Bobulinski, a pivotal figure in the GOP-led inquiry into the potential impeachment of President Joe Biden.

Bobulinski, who had business dealings with Hunter Biden, presented evidence before Congress on Wednesday, alleging corruption involving the Biden family on a global scale. This provoked criticism from Tarlov, who inaccurately linked Bobulinski's legal representation to financial support from a Trump-affiliated Super PAC.

Following a threat of legal action by Bobulinski's legal team, who labeled Tarlov's claim as a "maliciously blatant lie" in a letter to Fox News, Tarlov retracted her statement on a Thursday broadcast of "The Five" on Fox News.

During the show, Tarlov stated, "I would like to clarify a comment I made yesterday during our discussion of Tony Bobulinski’s appearance at the congressional hearing.

During an exchange with my colleagues about the hearing I said that Mr. Bobulinski’s lawyers’ fees have been paid by a Trump super PAC as recently as January."

She further clarified, "What was actually said during the hearing was that the law firm representing Mr. Bobulinski was paid by a Trump PAC. I have seen no indication those payments were made in connection with Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees and he denies that they were."

The misstatement initially arose during a heated discussion with co-hosts Jesse Watters and Jeanine Pirro, where Tarlov attempted to support her point by alleging financial connections between Bobulinski and the Trump Super PAC, which she later admitted was incorrect.

Bobulinski's attorney, Jesse Binnall, in a letter to Fox News, demanded a retraction, stating, "Ms. Tarlov stated that Mr. Bobulinski’s legal fees are being paid by a Trump Super PAC.

This is unequivocally false and defamatory." Binnall warned of immediate legal action against Tarlov and Fox News if the claim was not publicly withdrawn, emphasizing the serious implications of Tarlov's unfounded accusation.
