Gabbard Sends Criminal Referral to DOJ Making Bombshell ‘Russiagate’ Claims Against Obama

The Department of Justice has officially confirmed receipt of a criminal referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard concerning her bombshell allegations that senior Obama-era officials “manufactured and politicized intelligence” to fabricate the now-discredited Trump-Russia collusion narrative, Fox News reported Monday.

Though the DOJ offered no further comment on the matter, it confirmed to Fox News that it had received the referral and is reviewing the material.

Gabbard, a former Democrat turned independent and now Director of National Intelligence under President Donald J. Trump, stunned the political world last Friday when she released a trove of unclassified documents exposing what she called “overwhelming evidence” that the Obama administration, including President Barack Obama himself, conspired to launch a false investigation aimed at sabotaging the incoming Trump presidency following his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.

“Their goal was to usurp President Trump and subvert the will of the American people,” Gabbard wrote on X. “No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
“The integrity of our democratic republic depends on it. We are turning over all documents to the DOJ for criminal referral,” she added.

Appearing on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo, Gabbard explained the findings in the now-public materials, characterizing the scheme as “nothing short of historic.”

“Over 100 documents that we released on Friday really detail and provide evidence of how this treasonous conspiracy was directed by President Obama just weeks before he was due to leave office after President Trump had already gotten elected,” Gabbard said.
“This is not a Democrat or Republican issue,” she emphasized. “This is an issue that is so serious it should concern every single American because it has to do with the integrity of our democratic republic.”

The explosive allegations have reignited calls for accountability in the wake of years of misinformation and politicized investigations designed to undermine the Trump presidency. As the intelligence community under President Trump moves forward with potential prosecutions, top Democrats are circling the wagons.

Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, exploded during a hostile segment on CBS’s Face the Nation, accusing Gabbard of endangering former CIA Director John Brennan with her disclosures.

“Margaret, what you saw from the Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, was not just a lie, but a very dangerous lie,” Himes fumed. “Because when you start throwing around language like sedition and treason, somebody is going to get hurt.”
“And right now, you know, the mouth-breathers on MAGA online are just going out of their minds based on a lie,” he added, confirming the deep disdain many Democrats continue to hold for ordinary Trump supporters.

In response to Gabbard’s release, President Trump posted a video on Truth Social featuring prominent Democrats, including Obama, chanting the familiar mantra “no one is above the law.” The clip then cut to an AI-generated visual of Trump and Obama seated in the Oval Office — ending with Obama being arrested by FBI agents as the song “YMCA” blared in the background.

Meanwhile, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is taking steps to further expose misconduct in the Obama-era Justice Department. According to Fox News, Grassley intends to declassify the appendix of a 2018 Inspector General report that evaluated the DOJ’s handling of election-related probes — particularly surrounding the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

Clinton, while Secretary of State under Obama, stored classified materials on a private server at her home, a clear violation of federal law. Then-FBI Director James Comey admitted Clinton’s conduct was improper, but famously declined to recommend charges, claiming “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring the case.

Now, with new information surfacing and criminal referrals in motion, the question remains: will anyone in the Obama-Clinton orbit finally be held accountable?
