George Soros’ ‘Right-Hand Man’ Arrested On Heinous Charges
A retired Wall Street financier once described as billionaire George Soros’s “right-hand man” has been indicted on disturbing charges of sex trafficking, violent abuse, and fraud.
Howard Rubin, 70, allegedly used his Manhattan penthouse as a “secret sex dungeon” where he and his assistant, Jennifer Powers, orchestrated encounters that prosecutors now say crossed into criminal brutality.
According to the Justice Department, Rubin and Powers are accused of trafficking women across state lines for sexual exploitation. Powers also faces a bank fraud charge tied to misrepresentations she allegedly made to finance a Texas home.

Rubin, who rose to prominence working at Soros Fund Management, is now accused of subjecting women — including Playboy playmates — to horrific abuse. A civil trial involving six alleged victims seeking at least $18 million in damages is set for November.
The New York Post reported that one woman’s injuries were so severe her plastic surgeon refused to operate after Rubin allegedly “beat her breasts so badly that her right implant flipped.” Another accuser says Rubin, while holding her captive in his so-called dungeon, told her, “I’m going to rape you like I rape my daughter,” before allegedly assaulting her. Rubin has three children with his estranged wife, including a daughter.
Prosecutors say Rubin paid women as much as $5,000 for BDSM sessions but went far beyond consensual limits, inflicting violence and humiliation.
“As alleged, the defendants used Rubin’s wealth to mislead and recruit women to engage in commercial sex acts, where Rubin then tortured women beyond their consent, causing lasting physical and/or psychological pain, and in some cases physical injuries,” said Joseph Nocella Jr., U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
He added: “Today’s arrests show that no one who engages in sex trafficking, in this case in luxury hotels and a penthouse apartment that featured a so-called sex ‘dungeon,’ is above the law, and that they will be brought to justice.”
FBI Assistant Director Christopher G. Raia said Rubin and Powers spent “at least one million dollars to finance the commercial sexual torture of multiple women via a national trafficking network.” IRS Special Agent Harry T. Chavis Jr. noted that Powers allegedly managed the “day-to-day operations” of the scheme while being “paid generously for her efforts.”
Colleagues from Rubin’s Soros-era days expressed shock. “I thought he was a nice guy. He was a nebbishy Jewish guy and totally normal. I was surprised to hear about him having that apartment [with a sex dungeon],” a former trader told the Post.
The case underscores not only the alleged depravity of a man once tied to Soros’s financial empire but also the lengths to which elites can exploit their power until law enforcement intervenes.
