Georgia Man Arrested After Allegedly Threatening President Trump, Administration Officials

A man from Georgia has been taken into custody after allegedly issuing threats against former President Donald Trump and several members of his administration.

According to WSB-TV, the FBI arrested 25-year-old Aliakbar Mohammed Amin of Lilburn, Georgia, on Friday night.

Authorities allege that Amin made threats directed at Trump, the White House, and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. In a post on X, the FBI’s Atlanta field office emphasized, “Bottom line, the FBI does not tolerate threats and will hold offenders fully accountable.”

The post also included a photo showing multiple law enforcement officers outside a residence.
According to WSB-TV, Amin is currently being held without bond.

WAGA-TV reported that additional details regarding the case are expected to be made public on Monday.

The Daily Wire added that “a source close to Gabbard” confirmed the FBI informed her that a firearm was seized from Amin at the time of the arrest. They also mentioned that “a trial date has been set for later this month.”

Amin’s case comes amid broader concerns over threats against political figures.

Separately, on Friday, 32-year-old Shawn Monper of Butler, Pennsylvania, was charged with making threats against Trump as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, according to a Department of Justice news release. Butler notably is the township where Trump survived an assassination attempt in July.

Attorney General Pam Bondi praised the swift response, stating, “I want to applaud the outstanding and courageous investigative work of the FBI and the Butler Township Police Department, who thankfully identified and apprehended this individual before he could carry out his threats against President Trump’s life and the lives of other innocent Americans.”

Bondi continued, emphasizing, “Rest assured that whenever and wherever threats of assassination or mass violence occur, this Department of Justice will find, arrest, and prosecute the suspect to the fullest extent of the law and seek the maximum appropriate punishment.”

The criminal complaint against Monper outlined several disturbing threats made online, particularly via YouTube.

On February 17, Monper allegedly posted, “Nah, we just need to start killing people, Trump, Elon, all the heads of agencies Trump appointed, and anyone who stands in the way. Remember, we are the majority, MAGA is a minority of the country, and by the time it’s time to make the move, they will be weakened, many will be crushed by these policies, and they will want revenge too. American Revolution 2.0.”

On March 18, he was accused of saying, “ICE are terrorist people, we need to start killing them.”

Further, on April 1, he allegedly declared, “If I see an armed ice agent, I will consider it a domestic terrorist, and an active shooter and open fire on them.”
