Greg Gutfeld Gets Huge News About Sudden Career Change
Greg Gutfeld, the sharp-tongued host behind the hit late-night series Gutfeld! and co-host of The Five, is branching out into the world of game shows—bringing along his familiar political edge.
As revealed by FOX Nation, Gutfeld will headline a new limited-run series titled “Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?”, launching on May 12. The concept? Four participants will be cut off from all media and communication for three months, only to be reintroduced into the whirlwind of American news post-President Donald Trump’s second-term inauguration.
In a press release, FOX Nation President Lauren Petterson remarked, “Truth can be stranger than fiction and who better to help isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during an unprecedented news cycle than Greg Gutfeld.”

Petterson added, “We are excited for FOX Nation subscribers to have exclusive access to America’s most-watched late night host’s game show debut as he informs contestants about what really happened while they were completely off the grid and isolated from the outside world.”
Each episode will see Gutfeld guide the show’s direction, confronting the contestants with strange and surprising real-life news. Regular contributors from Gutfeld!, Kat Timpf and Jamie Lissow, will appear alongside him, adding their signature commentary and reacting to contestants’ guesses and interpretations.
“For these four contestants to learn what really happened while they were living in isolation, they’ll have to get through me first,” Gutfeld quipped. “Lucky them.”
Since its debut in 2021, Gutfeld! has redefined late-night television by blending humor, cultural critique, and political satire. The show has consistently dominated ratings, often outperforming its counterparts on traditional networks.
Gutfeld initially made waves as the host of Red Eye (2007–2015), a late-night Fox News program known for its quirky humor. In 2011, he became a co-host of The Five, a political talk show that remains a top-rated mainstay on the network.
Building on that momentum, Gutfeld is now stepping into the game show arena. His late-night series recently concluded its best-performing quarter ever, pulling in 3.3 million nightly viewers—outpacing legacy giants like CBS, ABC, and NBC. Meanwhile, The Five also maintained its stronghold, averaging 4.6 million viewers in the first quarter of 2025.
Off-screen, Gutfeld shares his life with wife Elena Moussa, a former Maxim Russia photo editor turned fashion stylist. The couple celebrated the birth of their daughter, Mira, last December.
