Hegseth Delivers on His Promise: Woke Navy Commander Removed After Viral Social Media Exposure

When President Donald Trump returned to the White House, he made it clear that America’s military would be restored to its core mission: defending the nation. His choice of Pete Hegseth as secretary of Defense left no doubt that the days of Pentagon social engineering were over.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion mandates were dismantled. The focus shifted back to readiness and strength. Yet, despite this new direction, remnants of the radical left’s influence still linger within the ranks.

This week, one of those remnants came into the spotlight. The LinkedIn profile of U.S. Navy Commander Janelle Marra ignited a firestorm after screenshots circulated on X.

Marra’s page was draped in the colors of a pride and transgender flag and prominently listed her pronouns as “She/Her.” Even more troubling, she described herself as “Deputy Medical Director for Transgender Healthcare” at Naval Medical Center San Diego.

In her own professional summary, Marra wrote:

“Leadership and mentorship are the cornerstones of my current roles, where I have the privilege of leading a diverse and geographically separated team working towards a ready medical force to provide expeditionary medical care. My passion for compassionate healthcare is reflected in my focus on Women’s and LGBT + health, ensuring inclusive and holistic care for all service members.”

The post quickly drew widespread attention. One X user noted:

“I’m sad to report that DEI isn’t fully dead yet @DeptofDefense. Meet @USNavy Commander Janelle Marra. Apparently, she’s the ‘Deputy Medical Director for Transgender Healthcare’ at Naval Medical Center San Diego.”

The viral account Libs of TikTok tagged Secretary Hegseth directly, urging action:

“Yikes This she/her Navy Commander is apparently a medical director for ‘transgender healthcare’ at a Naval center in California Can you please look into this?”

Hegseth wasted no time in responding. His reply was blunt and decisive:

“Pronouns UPDATED: She/Her/Fired.”

The message could not have been clearer: woke activism has no place in America’s armed forces. Hegseth, following through on President Trump’s directive, reaffirmed his commitment to cleansing the military of radical ideologies that undermine its mission.

While individuals are free to make personal choices in civilian life, the military cannot afford distractions like pronoun politics or transgender activism. The sole mission is warfighting readiness—ensuring that America’s forces remain focused, disciplined, and lethal. Anything else risks the safety of the nation.

With this move, Hegseth demonstrated that the Pentagon under President Trump’s leadership is once again serious about winning battles—not playing identity games.
