Whatever lingering goodwill former President Joe Biden hoped to enjoy after leaving office has rapidly evaporated. In fact, scrutiny of Biden's presidency—and who may have truly been calling the shots—has only intensified in recent weeks.

Two developments have collided in devastating fashion for Biden and his allies. The first: a somber personal announcement. The former president recently revealed he has been diagnosed with aggressive metastatic prostate cancer—a condition known for its dire prognosis. While the announcement was met with public sympathy, it didn’t remain the focus for long.

Just days later, the release of Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again reignited national conversation. As the title suggests, the book offers an unflinching exposé of Biden’s mental and physical decline and the extent to which his inner circle allegedly worked to hide the truth from the American people.

Taken together, these developments have prompted an outpouring of new questions from critics, especially regarding who was truly steering the ship during Biden’s time in office. The frequent use of an autopen—a mechanical device used to sign official documents in lieu of the president himself—has once again come under intense scrutiny.

Now, a hidden-camera interview released by Project Veritas has provided fresh ammunition for those concerns.

In the latest undercover video, current DNC vice chair and left-wing activist David Hogg is seen discussing the influence wielded by Biden’s inner circle—particularly Jill Biden’s chief of staff—in what appears to be an astonishing admission of behind-the-scenes power dynamics.

Asked by the undercover journalist, “How corrupt is the DNC if so many people knew, or few people knew about Biden?” Hogg responded candidly:

“I mean, I think the fact of the matter is the DNC is always going to be a campaign arm of the president, ultimately,” Hogg said. “The bigger issue was like the inner circle that was around Biden. That’s it.”

Hogg then singled out Anthony Bernal, the chief of staff to Jill Biden, as a key figure behind the scenes:

“Like, Jill Biden’s chief of staff had an enormous amount of power.”

That revelation surprised the undercover journalist, who asked for clarification. Hogg reaffirmed: “Jill Biden’s chief of staff.”

Then came another stunning voice in the conversation: Deterrian Jones, a former Biden White House staffer, who reinforced Hogg’s remarks with a chilling comment.

“That was an open secret. I would avoid him. He was scary.”

When the reporter noted he had never seen Bernal before, Jones explained:

“Exactly… He’s just a shadowy, ‘Wizard of Oz’-type figure. That’s what made him like so…

… I knew how he looked, but the general public wouldn’t know how this man looked.

But he wielded an enormous amount of power. And I can’t stress to you how much power he had at the White House.”

The video exchange paints a picture that critics of the Biden administration have long suspected: that unelected figures, shielded from public accountability, held disproportionate sway over White House operations during Biden’s presidency.

Project Veritas has stated that more footage from this investigation is forthcoming. If the rest of the series is as revealing as this initial release, the Democratic National Committee may have even more explaining to do.

This latest revelation arrives at a precarious moment for the left. With President Donald Trump now leading the country again and restoring transparency, law and order, and American strength at home and abroad, the contrast between the current administration and Biden’s shadowy tenure could not be starker.
