‘It’s Time’: Melania Trump Pens ‘Peace Letter’ to Putin
First Lady Melania Trump issued a heartfelt plea for peace this week, penning a handwritten letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin urging world leaders to protect children and preserve the innocence of future generations.
According to Fox News Digital, which exclusively obtained the letter, President Donald J. Trump personally delivered it to Putin during their high-stakes summit in Anchorage, Alaska. Putin reportedly read the letter aloud in front of both the American and Russian delegations.
“Dear President Putin,” the first lady’s letter began. “Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger.”

Melania’s letter called for a renewed sense of moral responsibility among global leaders: “Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all—so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded.”
The first lady emphasized that children’s innocence should stand above “geography, government, and ideology,” urging Putin to take bold action. “Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter. In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone—you serve humanity itself.”
She closed her message with a simple but urgent appeal: “It is time.”
The letter set the emotional backdrop for President Trump’s historic face-to-face with Putin — the first U.S.-Russia summit since June 2021, held under former President Joe Biden, just months before Putin launched his invasion of Ukraine.
While no peace agreement was finalized, Trump signaled that progress was made:
“There were many, many points that we agreed on, most of them, I would say,” the president told reporters. “A couple of big ones that we haven’t quite gotten there, but we’ve made some headway. So, there’s no deal until there’s a deal.”
Trump will host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House on Monday for further negotiations.
Putin, in an unusual move, switched to English at the close of the summit to extend a personal invitation to Trump: “Next time in Moscow.”
“That’s an interesting one,” Trump replied with a grin. “I’ll get a little heat for that one. But I can see it possibly happening.”

The summit concluded with a symbolic transatlantic conference call that included Trump, Zelenskyy, and key European leaders — a signal that the Trump administration is pulling together allies for a broader framework to secure peace.
