JD Vance Has Perfect One-Line Response to Democrats Freaking Out About Arrest of Wisconsin Judge
Vice President J.D. Vance delivered a sharp, succinct reply to Democrats outraged by the Friday arrest of Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Judge Dugan was taken into custody at the Milwaukee County Courthouse following allegations from the Department of Justice that she assisted an illegal immigrant in evading Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
The 65-year-old judge faces two federal felony charges: obstruction and concealing an individual, based on a federal criminal complaint.

California Rep. Ro Khanna was among the first Democrats to criticize the move, writing on X, “Donald Trump and JD Vance are arresting judges now. Deleting the tweet won’t undo the constitutional crisis you have just thrust us into.”
Khanna’s comment referred to a now-deleted post from FBI Director Kash Patel, where Patel announced, “Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.”
Patel further stated, “We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest.”

Responding to Khanna, Vance posted, “As the estimable Ro Khanna once said, ‘No one is above the law.’”

Throughout Donald Trump’s legal battles, with more than 91 criminal counts filed across four cases as he marched toward securing the Republican presidential nomination, Democrats frequently echoed that same mantra.
Those charges, notably brought during the 2024 campaign season, were transparently political.
Nevertheless, Khanna had posted on X in July, following a Supreme Court ruling in Trump’s favor, “The Supreme Court’s decision to grant Trump ‘absolute immunity’ for ‘official acts’ he took while in office betrays our core American principles. No one is above the law. We need term limits and a binding code of ethics for Supreme Court Justices.”

We need term limits and a binding code of ethics for Supreme Court Justices.
In contrast to the politically charged accusations against Trump, federal prosecutors seem to have substantial evidence against Judge Dugan.
Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared on Fox News Friday, detailing how ICE agents attempted to detain Mexican national Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, 30, at the Milwaukee courthouse, only to be obstructed by Dugan.
“The judge screams at the immigration officers. She’s furious. Visibly shaken. Upset. Sends them off to talk to the chief judge,” Bondi recounted.
Bondi continued, describing how Dugan “comes back in the courtroom — you’re not going to believe this — takes the defendant and the defense attorney back in her chambers. Takes them out a private exit and tells them to leave, while a state prosecutor and victims of domestic violence are sitting in the courtroom. Can’t make this up.”
Flores-Ruiz faces three misdemeanor battery charges, enhanced by domestic violence modifiers, which could result in steeper penalties upon conviction.
According to Fox News, after Dugan allegedly led Flores-Ruiz out of a back exit, ICE agents pursued and eventually captured him outside the courthouse.
Bondi revealed that initial disbelief within the Justice Department gave way to decisive action after a thorough investigation confirmed the events: “We could not believe that a judge really did that.”

Concluding her remarks, Bondi emphasized, “You cannot obstruct a criminal case, and really, shame on her. It was a domestic violence case, of all cases, and she’s protecting a criminal defendant over victims of crime.”
In Vance’s words, “No one is above the law,” and as such, Judge Dugan must answer for her conduct.
