Jean-Pierre Blasts Democrat ‘Firing Squad’ For Kicking Biden Off Ticket

Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is finally speaking out about the moment the Democratic Party publicly turned on Joe Biden—and the picture she paints is one of betrayal, panic, and chaos inside the party that once rallied around the now-disgraced 46th president.

Just over 100 days into President Donald Trump’s second term, Democrats are still picking up the pieces from the 2024 election collapse, with many still grappling with the fallout from Biden’s humiliating June debate performance, which sent the Democratic establishment into a tailspin and ultimately led to his withdrawal from the race.

Speaking at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics, Jean-Pierre described the internal backstabbing that erupted in the three weeks following the debate as party leaders and leftist influencers pushed Biden to step aside—despite her claims that he was “a true patriot” who accomplished “more in one term than most presidents in two.”

“It was a firing squad,” she said, adding: “I had never seen a party do that in the way that they did… It was hurtful and sad.”

Jean-Pierre, who defended Biden to the bitter end, admitted the internal implosion was “shocking” to witness, especially given Biden’s status as party leader.

“He was the President of the United States at the time… and I supported that 100%,” she said. “There was supposed to be a red wave [in the midterms], there wasn’t.”

But reality caught up with the Democrats quickly.

As Biden’s physical and mental decline became impossible to hide, even the corporate media began questioning whether the aging commander-in-chief was fit for a second term. Behind the scenes, however, Jean-Pierre now says the Democratic Party turned on its own, prioritizing political survival over unity.

“Instead of coming together… to figure out how do we save our democracy… that’s what I was seeing. It was truly unfortunate.”

The latest revelations come as the House Oversight Committee continues its investigation into what it now calls a “cover-up” of Biden’s cognitive decline, dragging key figures from his inner circle into the spotlight.

Jean-Pierre herself, along with former Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, and senior Biden aides Andrew Bates and Ian Sams, have been subpoenaed to testify before Congress about their role in shielding Biden from public scrutiny while allegedly feeding false talking points to media allies.

“They fed these false talking points to progressive allies and the media, who helped perpetuate that President Biden was fit to serve,” Oversight Committee Republicans stated.

The committee is also probing whether White House staff circumvented the president entirely during critical moments in his final year. On Tuesday, Neera Tanden, Biden’s former domestic policy adviser, admitted she rarely communicated directly with the president—despite being one of the few authorized to use the autopen for signing official documents.

The autopen revelation has added fuel to the fire, with Republican lawmakers asking who was actually issuing executive orders in Biden’s name—a chilling possibility that undermines the integrity of the executive branch and raises questions of legitimacy surrounding many of his final actions in office.

Now, Jean-Pierre is working on a book reportedly chronicling what she calls a “broken” federal government—though her own role in defending Biden’s decline and spinning talking points has already drawn bipartisan criticism.

Meanwhile, President Trump remains focused on reversing the damage left behind. His signature “One Big Beautiful Bill” is nearing a vote in the Senate, while a series of executive orders have already wiped away many of the radical policies Biden’s team forced through during his final months—often with autopen in hand.
