Karma Just Brutally Slapped Adam Schiff In The Face

On Sunday’s ABC News program, California Senator Adam Schiff criticized President Donald Trump’s economic approach and attributed the Democratic Party’s 2024 election loss to their failure to remain "laser focused" on the rising cost of living.

When former President Joe Biden took office, inflation stood at 1.4 percent but surged to 9 percent by June 2022. Throughout this period, both Biden and the Democrats downplayed the financial crisis, with Biden touting his economic achievements despite Americans facing soaring living expenses.

During ABC’s "This Week," co-host Jonathan Karl questioned Schiff about the incident where a Democrat was removed from the House Chamber on Tuesday for attempting to disrupt Trump’s speech. Karl also asked whether Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman had "a point" when he criticized the interruption in a post on X, suggesting it ultimately hurt the party.

"Well, I think the lack of a coordinated response to the State of the Union was a mistake," Schiff responded. "Frankly, it took the focus off of where it should have been, which is on the fact that the president spoke for an hour and 40 minutes and had nothing to say about what he would do to bring down costs."

Schiff went on to argue that Trump’s address did not provide concrete solutions to help Americans "afford a new home, pay the rent, or afford health care or child care." He emphasized that Democrats need to keep their "focus" on economic concerns, noting that they failed to mount a strong campaign centered on the issue leading up to the November elections.

"They’re destroying the economy, and they’re making it harder and harder for Americans to afford things. That’s where we need to keep the focus," Schiff asserted regarding Trump and his Republican Party, though without providing supporting evidence. "That’s why we lost the last election, because we weren’t laser-focused on the high cost of living, and what they’re doing now is just making it so much worse in the administration, and that’s really what we need to emphasize."

Karl did not press Schiff for further details on what specific policies or actions by Trump and the Republicans were making the situation "worse."

During Biden’s presidency, Republicans repeatedly cautioned their colleagues about the economic challenges, yet the White House continued to insist that the economy was growing under Biden, despite factors like record immigration, inflation, and lower-than-expected job growth limiting opportunities.

Meanwhile, some Democratic leaders, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, argued that the public simply did not "realize how much" the party had done for them, while others admitted that unpopular policies may have contributed to their 2024 election defeat.

There are initial signs of improvement under Trump’s economic policies. According to Labor Department data released on Tuesday, inflation fell from 3.8% in January—Biden’s last month in office—to 2.8% in February. Reports indicate that this development led to a rise in Wall Street markets ahead of the opening bell.

Additionally, while the price of eggs remains elevated compared to a year ago, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins announced on Tuesday that the cost has dropped by an average of $2 per dozen.

"A good piece of news we just got in the last day or two is that the average cost of eggs has now gone down $1.85 since we announced our plan about a week-and-a-half ago," Rollins stated, referring to a $1 billion initiative designed to increase egg supply and drive prices down.

Furthermore, interest rates have been declining since Trump took office in January. A CNBC report on Wednesday highlighted that home mortgage rates have now fallen for the sixth straight week, reaching their lowest levels since last October. The report noted that average rates dropped from 6.73% to 6.67% last week.
