Karoline Leavitt Holds Briefing, Responds To Shocking Biden Cancer Diagnosis

In a show of compassion and class, President Donald Trump issued a sincere message of support following former President Joe Biden’s Sunday announcement that he has been diagnosed with a severe form of prostate cancer.

“Melania and I are saddened to hear about Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis,” President Trump shared on Truth Social. “We extend our warmest and best wishes to Jill and the family, and we wish Joe a fast and successful recovery.”

During a Monday morning press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that no direct conversation has yet taken place between President Trump and Biden, but the President remains open to reaching out.

“Not to my knowledge, I don’t believe they have spoken, but I’m sure the President would be open to doing that. I spoke to him last night about the former president’s cancer diagnosis, and the statement that he put out was the initial reaction he had with me on the phone,” Leavitt said.

When Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked if President Trump had any concerns regarding the quality of care U.S. presidents receive, Leavitt responded confidently.

“Not as far as President Trump is concerned. The White House physician we have here is phenomenal, and the team of physicians that take care of the President, particularly at Walter Reed Medical Center, are great. The President had his physical recently, as you know. He had perfect results. He’s in very good shape. I think those of you who traveled to the Middle East with us last week can attest to the President’s endurance,” she noted.

Biden’s office released further details about the diagnosis, describing the condition as serious and advanced.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone. While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management,” the statement read.

While Biden and his family are reportedly reviewing treatment options, questions are already surfacing about how this diagnosis went undetected—especially given Biden’s long tenure in public office and his access to elite medical care.

Dr. Howie Forman, a Yale University professor and frequent critic of Republicans, expressed rare concern on social media about the suspicious timing and medical oversight.

“It is inconceivable that this was not being followed before he left the Presidency. Gleason grade 9 would have had an elevated PSA level for some time before this diagnosis. And he must have had a PSA test numerous times before. This is odd. I wish him well and hope he has an opportunity for maximizing his quality of life,” Forman wrote on X.

When another user, Adam Brown, noted that standard guidelines suggest halting PSA screenings at age 70, Forman agreed but pressed further.

“Completely true,” he replied. “But do you believe that 1) he really never had screening these past dozen years and 2) he had a normal PSA prior to 70? It’s just so odd to discover this with bone Mets in a man of his stature and access to care.”

The announcement of Biden’s cancer diagnosis comes amid renewed media attention on the cognitive decline observed during his time in office. Recent books and investigative reports have exposed how some of Biden’s former aides allegedly concealed his waning mental acuity from the American public during his presidency.

While the media attempts to spin the narrative, many Americans are once again left with more questions than answers—especially regarding the level of transparency and the seriousness with which Biden’s health has been managed.

President Trump, meanwhile, continues to demonstrate both strength and empathy, setting a clear example of leadership rooted in dignity, despite ongoing political differences.
