Kash Patel Reveals Contents of Note Written by Charlie Kirk Assassination Suspect

FBI Director Kash Patel revealed Monday that the suspect accused of assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk had put his murderous intentions in writing before carrying out the crime.

Appearing on Fox & Friends, Patel — appointed by President Donald J. Trump to lead the bureau — said agents have uncovered forensic evidence directly linking 22-year-old Tyler Robinson to the September 10 shooting at Utah Valley University. That evidence, Patel confirmed, included a destroyed note in which Robinson allegedly detailed his plan to kill Kirk.

“The written note we believe did exist. And we have evidence to show what was in that note, which is, and I’m going to summarize, basically, saying the suspect wrote a note saying, ‘I have the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it,’” Patel told co-host Brian Kilmeade.

Although the note itself was destroyed, Patel said the FBI has confirmation of its existence. Investigators learned it had been in the home Robinson shared with his “partner,” a man transitioning to live as a woman.

“That note was written before the shooting,” Patel said. “Evidence of its existence, we now have learned, existed before the shooting within the location in the suspect and partner’s home.”

Beyond the note, Patel said the bureau has accumulated a wealth of physical evidence. DNA samples taken from a screwdriver at the crime scene and from a towel wrapped around the discarded rifle both “positively processed for the suspect in custody.”

Patel added that agents have also uncovered disturbing details from interviews with Robinson’s family and associates, noting the alleged killer “subscribed to left-wing ideology” and had become more radicalized “in these last couple of years.”

“He had a text message exchange — he, the suspect, with another individual — in which he claimed that he had an opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and he was going to do it because of his hatred for what Charlie stood for,” Patel said. “Those are factually accurate, investigatory findings.”

The FBI director stressed that the investigation will follow the evidence without fear or favor, despite the highly political nature of Kirk’s assassination.

“There is no one at the FBI that’s going to politicize this investigation,” Patel vowed.

The revelation that Robinson put his violent intentions in writing further underscores what conservatives have warned for years: leftist extremism, fueled by online radicalization and hatred for America First principles, poses a deadly threat to the nation’s future.
