Mainstream Media Malice: President Trump Levels CBS’ Norah O’Donnell After Shameless Interview Ambush
Less than twenty-four hours after surviving a harrowing assassination attempt in the nation’s capital, President Donald J. Trump demonstrated the same resilience in the face of media hostility that has defined his second term. During a sit-down interview on Sunday, the President dismantled CBS News’ Norah O’Donnell after she attempted to weaponize the deranged ramblings of a would-be killer to smear his character.
The exchange, which highlights the ongoing disconnect between the corporate press and the American public, turned sour when O’Donnell pivoted from the security failures in D.C. to the manifesto of the gunman, Cole Tomas Allen. Specifically, O'Donnell chose to recite the gunman’s baseless accusations labeling the President a “pedophile, rapist, and traitor.”
President Trump, never one to let a scripted media ambush go unanswered, immediately called out the network’s transparent tactics.
“Well, I was waiting for you to read that, because I knew you would because you’re horrible people. Horrible people,” Trump said. “Yeah, he did write that. I’m– I’m not a rapist. I didn’t rape anybody.”
When O’Donnell attempted to play coy by asking, “Oh you think — do you think he was referring to you?”, the President fired back, exposing the underlying partisan nature of the inquiry.
“I’m not a pedophile. Excuse me. Excuse me. I’m not a pedophile. You read that crap from some sick person? I got associated with stuff that has nothing to do with me. I was totally exonerated. Your friends on the other side of the plate are the ones that were involved with, say, Epstein or other things. But I said to myself, ‘You know, I’ll do this interview and they’ll probably’ — I read the manifesto. You know, he’s a sick person. But you should be ashamed of yourself reading that, because I’m not any of those things.”
Despite O’Donnell’s attempts to hide behind the guise of "journalistic inquiry" by claiming, “Mr. President, these are the gunman’s words,” President Trump remained steadfast in his defense of the office and his reputation.
“And I was never– excuse me. Excuse me. You shouldn’t be reading that on ’60 Minutes.’ You’re a disgrace. But go ahead. Let’s finish the interview.”
The Left’s Persistent Smear Campaign
The lines read by O’Donnell were not merely the "words of a gunman," but a recycled compilation of leftist talking points that have been debunked for years. Despite the President severing ties with Jeffrey Epstein over two decades ago and the questionable nature of civil litigations in deep-blue jurisdictions, the mainstream media continues to validate the delusions of violent extremists if it serves their anti-Trump narrative.
The public reaction to the interview was swift, with many questioning why the President continues to grant access to outlets that prioritize sensationalism over national stability.
NEW: Norah O'Donnell plays dumb as Trump tears into her after she brought up how the shooting suspect called him a “r*pist” in his manifesto.

O'Donnell: “He also wrote this: ‘I'm no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor…’”

They really thought that was a “gotcha”? 🤣 Bringing up deranged ramblings from a violent suspect and reading it on national TV like it’s credible? That’s not journalism—that’s desperation.

Trump called it exactly what it was. Why are you platforming the words of a sick…
Vile, disgusting? Of course. But this will win her favors with the right people and sell massive amounts of clicks. Obviously, that was the point. 60 Minutes has been garbage for as long as I can remember.

While the President is focused on securing the border and restoring the American economy in 2026, the legacy media appears stuck in a cycle of grievance. As one observer noted on social media:
If you didn’t hate them enough before… agree with so many I’m not sure why he gives them one minute of his time he has better things to do

President Trump’s refusal to be intimidated by the CBS anchor serves as a stark reminder of his commitment to the Truth—and his refusal to let the radical left rewrite his legacy through the lens of a criminal’s manifesto.
