Millions Given to Obama’s Foundation Sent to Group Linked to George Soros
Public records reveal that millions of dollars funneled through former President Barack Obama’s foundation ended up at a progressive clearinghouse that bankrolls anti-Israel groups — including organizations tied to campus encampments at Ivy League universities.
According to federal tax filings reviewed by the New York Post, the Obama Foundation transferred $2 million in 2022 and 2023 to the Tides Foundation. The money was ostensibly earmarked for “reducing violence in communities,” but critics say the funds ultimately helped advance radical groups targeting Israel and promoting anti-American unrest.
The Tides Foundation, which is heavily funded by left-wing billionaire George Soros, acts as a fiscal sponsor for nonprofits that haven’t registered with the IRS. Tides is currently under review by the House Ways and Means Committee for channeling money to extremist outfits such as the Adalah Justice Project, Samidoun, and the People’s Forum — all of which have been linked to pro-Hamas protests and encampments following the October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorist massacre in Israel that left 1,200 dead.
An Obama Foundation spokeswoman tried to distance the group from the controversy, insisting the funds went to more than 50 organizations to reduce “summer violence” and create “safe spaces” for youth. “The Tides Center played an administrative role in the program by processing grants while Cities United [a nonprofit] managed the application process,” she told the Post.
But questions about Tides’ credibility run deep. The same fund has managed money for the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation — which itself sued Tides in 2023 for “egregious mismanagement” of over $33 million. That lawsuit remains ongoing.
Obama’s foundation also gave more than $3 million to Gofundme.org during the same period for vague programs described as helping “grassroots leaders” and “empowering girls through education.”
The revelations come as President Donald J. Trump’s Justice Department intensifies its probe of Soros’ vast Open Society Foundation. A directive obtained by the New York Times shows more than half a dozen U.S. attorneys’ offices have been ordered to prepare strategies for possible criminal charges against Soros’ network, ranging from racketeering and wire fraud to material support for terrorism.

The Tides Foundation will funnel it to BLM.
Then BLM will do this to America like they did with our USAID money Soros sent in 2020.

The move follows Trump’s renewed calls for accountability after the recent killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah. At a rally, Trump vowed to use every lever of government to investigate left-wing financiers, specifically naming Soros as a threat to national security.
Conservatives have long argued Soros-backed outfits provide the infrastructure for violent protests, campus chaos, and coordinated political unrest.
On Monday, Todd Blanche’s office directed prosecutors in New York, California, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Detroit, and Maryland to begin drafting investigative frameworks. The order was signed by Aakash Singh, a DOJ lawyer coordinating efforts between the Deputy Attorney General’s office and U.S. attorneys nationwide.
Singh cited research from the conservative Capital Research Center, which documented more than $80 million in Soros-linked funding tied to extremist violence and radical political groups.
“This DOJ, along with our hard-working and dedicated U.S. attorneys, will always prioritize public safety and investigate organizations that conspire to commit acts of violence or other federal violations of law,” Justice Department spokesman Chad Gilmartin said.
With Obama’s foundation entangled in the same network now under scrutiny, conservatives are demanding answers — and accountability.
