Multiple Arrests Made as Antifa Extremists Attempt 'Siege' on Federal Building

What began as a so-called “protest” in Eugene, Oregon, quickly escalated into an Antifa-led siege against a federal building Tuesday — and ended with arrests.

According to KLCC-TV, the chaos began around 2 p.m. when anti-ICE activists from Eugene joined forces with Antifa radicals from Portland to target the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office located inside a federal building.

Protesters pounded on the doors and windows, scrawled anti-ICE messages in chalk, and harassed federal employees. Some chanted “here, piggy piggy” at officers attempting to work inside.

Journalist Katie Daviscourt of The Post Millennial posted on X that “the domestic terrorist group is posted up at the entrances/exits, pounding on doors and windows. Sources inside say employees are having to find alternative exits.”

The situation escalated by evening. Around 7:30 p.m., police moved in, detaining two protesters and pepper-spraying another. In response, Antifa members hurled traffic cones at the building and tossed a road construction sign toward the entrance before one protester was tackled and arrested.

According to Eugene police, rioters threw objects at Federal Protective Service agents and damaged federal property. Daviscourt described the confrontation as “the first Antifa domestic terrorist arrests in US history.”

The timing is noteworthy. Just last week, President Donald J. Trump officially designated Antifa a terrorist organization — a move cheered by conservatives who have long warned about the group’s violent tactics.

Local law enforcement in Eugene had previously come under fire for supposedly aiding ICE, given Oregon’s strict “sanctuary” policies that forbid police cooperation with the agency. But a recent review cleared officers of wrongdoing, noting that simply maintaining a presence at ICE-related demonstrations “is not a violation of the relevant statute, policies, procedures and regulations.”

The Eugene arrests, coupled with Trump’s designation, signal that the era of Antifa violence being ignored or tolerated by officials may be coming to an end.
