Noem Asserts DHS Will ‘Not Be Deterred’ Following ICE Raid Leaks

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has emphasized that her department "will not be deterred" by unauthorized disclosures after details about an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation were revealed ahead of schedule.
"We will not be deterred by leaks. If you come to this country and break our laws, we will hunt you down," Noem stated on X.
Her comments referenced a recent enforcement action targeting members of the MS-13 and 18th Street gangs, along with individuals accused of sex crimes. On Sunday, Migrant Insider reported that ICE had scheduled raids in Northern Virginia for Monday and Tuesday, with officials having secured between 75 and 100 warrants.
“Judicial warrants mean ICE can go into your homes, so plan accordingly,” Migrant Insider editor Pablo Manriquez wrote on X. He later shared locations where agents had supposedly been sighted in Northern Virginia.
Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid also advised its followers on where ICE agents were expected to operate and offered guidance on how to respond if confronted.
Within ICE, the leaks sparked frustration, with one official telling Fox News they feared such disclosures could endanger agents’ lives.

Recent weeks have seen similar leaks regarding planned operations in Los Angeles and Aurora, Colorado.
When Fox News Digital asked Manriquez whether he sought to disrupt the raids or influence their execution, he responded, “just breaking news.”
Regarding the frequency of leaks, he encouraged sources to reach out: "If anyone has information, feel free to send it to me."
He also dismissed concerns that revealing operational details could put ICE agents in harm’s way.
“We break immigration news all the time. We follow this topic very closely and haven’t seen any reports of ICE being harmed,” he said.
Meanwhile, former Trump border czar Tom Homan expressed outrage over the alleged leak of a planned ICE raid in Aurora, Colorado.
Speaking with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, Homan vowed to take action against those responsible.
“We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today,” he stated.
He further mentioned that ICE is collaborating with the Department of Justice and that Homeland Security may begin prosecuting individuals who obstruct its operations. "This is not a game. This is a dangerous job," Homan emphasized. "To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk."
These leaks coincide with what some see as direct interference by Democratic lawmakers in ICE’s work.
Among those under scrutiny is Democratic New York Representative Dan Goldman, who has been criticized for advising individuals on how to avoid ICE enforcement actions.
“Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement,” Goldman posted on X. “No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together.”
In a video accompanying his post, Goldman addressed past immigration enforcement efforts: “The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City. These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement.”
He also provided recommendations on "mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters" and shared details on pro bono legal assistance for those detained.
Similarly, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has faced scrutiny for allegedly coaching undocumented individuals on avoiding ICE detection, prompting Homan to request a legal review from the Department of Justice on whether such actions constitute felonious interference with immigration enforcement.
Republicans have strongly condemned Democratic lawmakers for offering guidance to undocumented immigrants on evading ICE operations.
“It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!” Republican North Carolina Representative Mark Harris told The Caller.
“This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people,” he added.
