Noem Says DHS Will ‘Not Be Deterred’ After ICE Hit By New Leaks Ahead of Raid

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has affirmed that her agency "will not be deterred" by leaks following the premature disclosure of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid.

"We will not be deterred by leaks. If you come to this country and break our laws, we will hunt you down," Noem posted on X.

Noem referenced an operation targeting members of the MS-13 and 18th Street gangs, as well as sex offenders. On Sunday, Migrant Insider reported that ICE raids were planned for Northern Virginia on Monday and Tuesday, with officials allegedly securing between 75 and 100 warrants.

"Judicial warrants mean ICE can go into your homes, so plan accordingly," stated Pablo Manriquez, the outlet’s editor, on X. He later provided details about locations where ICE agents had reportedly been seen in Northern Virginia.

Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid also informed its followers about ICE’s expected operations, advising them on what steps to take if confronted by agents.

The leak has caused frustration among ICE officials. One source told Fox News they feared it could lead to the death of an ICE agent.

In recent weeks, similar leaks have surfaced regarding planned raids in Los Angeles and Aurora, Colorado.

When Fox News Digital questioned Manriquez about whether his reporting aimed to disrupt the operation, he responded, saying he was "just breaking news."

Asked about the frequent leaks, Manriquez added, "If anyone has information, feel free to send it to me."

He also rejected the notion that ICE agents were at risk due to leaked details about their operations.

"We break immigration news all the time. We follow this topic very closely and haven’t seen any reports of ICE being harmed," he stated.

Meanwhile, former Trump border czar Tom Homan expressed outrage over details of the planned ICE raid in Aurora, Colo., allegedly being leaked.

During an interview Thursday with Fox News host Harris Faulkner, Homan revealed he had identified the source of the leak and vowed action.

"We’ve already identified how this operation got leaked. I’ll deal with that today," Homan said.

He further noted that ICE is coordinating with the Department of Justice and that Homeland Security might begin prosecuting those who obstruct the agency’s efforts. "This is not a game. This is a dangerous job," he emphasized. "To have this type of interference puts the officers at great risk."

The leak occurs as some Democrats are also drawing attention for their involvement in ICE-related matters.

Democratic New York Rep. Dan Goldman is one of those under scrutiny for advising individuals on how to avoid ICE enforcement.

"Every New Yorker has rights when they interact with immigration enforcement," Goldman posted on X. "No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together."

He reiterated, "No matter what the next four years bring, stay informed, stay safe, and stay together," in the caption of a video he shared.

In the video, Goldman addressed the Trump administration’s past immigration enforcement actions.

"The Trump administration has carried out deportations, raids all across the country, including here in New York City," he said. "These are certainly uncertain times, but no matter what, it’s important that you know your rights when interacting with law enforcement."

He also provided guidance on "mak[ing] a plan for ICE encounters" and shared details on accessing pro bono legal representation if detained.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is also facing criticism for allegedly advising undocumented immigrants on how to evade ICE, prompting Homan to seek a legal opinion from the Department of Justice regarding what actions might constitute felonious interference with federal immigration enforcement.

Republicans have strongly condemned Democrats who have advised illegal immigrants on handling ICE encounters.

"It’s completely disgraceful that Democrats are going to such extreme lengths to aid illegals — even going as far as using their official accounts to give instructions on evading ICE!" Republican North Carolina Rep. Mark Harris told The Caller.

"This is just the beginning of their extreme tactics to obstruct President Trump’s agenda. Speaking in Chinese or Spanish won’t hide the Left’s message: they care more about criminal aliens than the safety of the American people," he added.
