Pam Bondi Orders Grand Jury to Review Criminal Referrals Over Russiagate
Attorney General Pam Bondi has officially greenlit a grand jury investigation into what is now widely recognized as one of the most egregious political deceptions in modern American history: the Russia collusion hoax engineered under the Obama administration to target President Donald J. Trump.
The Justice Department is moving forward with criminal grand jury proceedings, following Bondi’s order directing a federal prosecutor to present evidence relating to the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation. According to Fox News, DOJ sources say the matter is being taken “very seriously.”
“Attorney General Pam Bondi today signed an order directing an unnamed U.S. federal prosecutor to take evidence to a grand jury relating to an alleged conspiracy to tie then-2016 candidate Donald Trump to the country of Russia,” Fox News reported.

View PlansThe order, reviewed by Fox, signals the official beginning of a probe that could lead to indictments against key Obama-era intelligence officials involved in manufacturing the now-debunked Trump-Russia narrative. A DOJ spokesperson declined comment, but insiders say Bondi is acting swiftly based on criminal referrals submitted by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.
“Bondi believes there is ‘clear cause for deep concern’ and a need for the next steps,” a source told Fox News. “She is taking the referrals from DNI Tulsi Gabbard very seriously.”
The probe stems from Gabbard’s July release of documents previously hidden from public view. The newly declassified records reveal that the Obama administration lacked any substantial evidence to justify launching an investigation into President Trump’s 2016 campaign — and yet pushed the narrative anyway.
At the heart of the case is the discredited 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) — produced under direct orders from then-President Barack Obama, and constructed by top Obama intelligence officials including CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
The ICA infamously asserted, with “high confidence,” that Russian President Vladimir Putin preferred Trump over Clinton in the 2016 election. But declassified materials now show that this sweeping conclusion was based on a single, unverified source with no confirmed access to Putin — and that this context was intentionally omitted from the public version of the report.
Gabbard told reporters the entire narrative was “contrived,” saying Obama and his officials knowingly deceived the public:
“They promoted a contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true. It wasn’t.”
One of the most damning revelations comes from a declassified meeting record, which shows that Obama personally requested his deputies craft the ICA in December 2016 — after Trump had won the election. The timing further confirms that the report was politically motivated, not intelligence-driven.
The plot also involved the Steele dossier, a Clinton-funded opposition research document riddled with falsehoods. Former CIA Director John Brennan told Congress that the dossier was not part of the ICA’s foundation — yet evidence now proves it was discreetly embedded within the report’s references, a potential act of perjury by Brennan.
Former CIA Director John Ratcliffe, who served under President Trump, made it clear: indictments must follow.
“That’s why I made the referrals. DNI Gabbard has made referrals,” Ratcliffe declared. “We are seeking indictments.”
Among those Gabbard and Ratcliffe have named as potential criminal actors in the Russiagate scandal are:
- James Clapper (former DNI)
- John Brennan (former CIA Director)
- James Comey (former FBI Director)

View PlansThough details of the grand jury — including its location and who will be compelled to testify — remain under wraps, the weight of this investigation cannot be overstated.
This is not just about political gamesmanship. This is about the weaponization of U.S. intelligence agencies to sabotage a duly elected president, and the accountability that is long overdue.
